Should Slade stay or go ? POLL

I have been consistent from the start. He is a lower grade manager who is out of his depth. But he has done what Vinny has asked of him and slashed the wage budget and for that he has done well. But as for being in charge of a Championship side he is clueless.
I agree with being on budget and starting from scratch but for us now to progress we need a hungry upcoming manager that will build the side and bring back the fans with a more positive style of play.
So he needs to go and then he can spend more time down the pub.

Injuries have blighted the last few games but we just don't seem to have an attacking threat ,time for a fresh approach he's done well to steady the ship and reduce costs but its time for a forward thinking manager

Steve I do agree with you but any new manager coming in needs to build a side/ squad of young hungry players ,and he will need to get rid of the millionaire overpaid underachievers

All depends on our aim this season, if Tan wants promotion then he should go. If he wants things done on the cheap and remain in the league then he should stay.

I agree, and it's good fans appreciate the good work he has done. He won't be handing over a team that needs rebuilding, re shaping and adding to.

Some are still here but you can't bring the defence in to it, dicka has been decent in midfield and Ralls is young and hungry. Nooney pilks not sure, re shaping is requires and pace

Our players need to have a good look at themselves.
Our squad is over rated with a non existent midfield.

I see what you are saying Ian but he still has a very good squad that is capable of playing some good attacking football. No he isn't getting the cash others have had but he still has a good squad. So for me if things go from bad to worse - ( IMO ) Tan will ask RS to resign ( and be paid up in full - to save face )

Personally i feel sorry for RS - For the mess he has had to sort out - But Tan's biggest mistake was with MM - As posted att.

the question is will tan make the same mistake twice? Get a decent manager in and i can see us challenging

He has had enough time, he has pulled the wool over our eyes, but he has not got a clue to what the team should do BECAUSE he just wants to NOT LOSE.

I say let Trollope take over the team and move Slade upstairs (as he can't coach), or hire him for our XMAS SONGS!!!

All depends on our aim this season, if Tan wants promotion then he should go. If he wants things done on the cheap and remain in the league then he should stay.

Spot on - it really comes down to that. Does VT want to push for the £178m PL kitty this season or is he happy consolidating and going again next season? We are only 3 points off the playoffs which gives a 25% chance of promotion but you can see the gap with the top 5 beginning to manifest.

His biggest problems are blind stubborn faith in certain players and no plan B

personally think that sacking a manager is not always the answer. I like continuity. however if Slade is going to stay in a job he needs to learn and grow. This level of football is completely new to him, the positive he has brought is organisation, but he hasn't yet learned how to temper that with letting creative players play.

Bottom line for me - he stays, but i want two wins in the next three games. i think there is an opportunity now, with Witts out of the team and Jones back in the fold, to alter the way we play slightly.

Its a must that Ralls comes into the middle, and even in a 442 force the ball into wide areas and go from there.

Kennedy has to play, the only justification for him not playing is to keep things compact, if he doesn't want to go all out with Kennedy and Noone on each wing then play Pilkington there.

Im also optimistic that we will see more from mason with Jones up front.
