Who's going to take over then or want the job ?

Wed Nov 04, 2015 6:00 am

Who would want the job with the conditions tan wants.or has in place. Nobody can say there is not any as its been stated in the media from reporters and that Dundee manager who turned us down before slade took it . This alone told me why we got slade to start with and not better on paper.

Serious answers. Please not well known managers who wouldn't put up with tans terms so it's pointless dreaming as some managers will only come if it's 100% them who are running the team, transfers and all Cardiff city bar the money side.

We all know slade does not have final says on certain things.

You all want him out so who will do the job with a hand tied behind there back.

I mean look at the interviews and the list of managers in the same big line with slade when he went for the job...... NOT because there wasn't any others ???

If it is not a name as our next manager I feel he will only get treated the same from the owner and us fans

What's he achieved though ?

Give it ten games people would be calling for him to be sacked if results didn't go our way and he's not a name on paper compared to other managers. Also fans seem to think a better manager on paper would work wonders for some reason that's if they would want the job to start with

There's only 2 types of Manager that would take the job.
1. Someone from the same mould as Slade.
or
2. An ex player who's taken his badges and is looking for his first managerial job.

Personally I'd take no. 2 every time. Someone who is young, enthusiastic and nows the modern game and the players would respect. :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

I forgot - Holloway - he would take the job.

He is as mad as Tan - the pair would get along just like a pair of badgers on the first day of the mating season

This is the problem. Who would you replace. People slated Jones when he was manager and now they want him back.

Yes we have been poor but look at the bigger picture we only lost one game. Another manager we may have lost more than one!

No wonder team are shot ot confidence when all we do is slate our manager

Rubbish, the team is shot because of Slade's tactical short comings. Imagine going out on the pitch every week playing the same negative boring football that's being played. It says it all when you see Revell on the team sheet.

Agree.
I'd rather lose more and watch entertaining football than the drivel Slade dishes out.
Our best performance was against Hull when we lost 0-2 and the team had the biggest applause of the season at the final whistle because of the effort they put in. Most fans came away from that game happier than both the Bristol and Boro games.

The chances of getting a "name" are slim in my opinion. However, there must be a young promising energetic manager out there somewhere. The chance to lead a big club? Surely tempting!

However, Tan will have to agree to take a back seat on recruitment. That is the biggest hurdle in my opinion.

Grumpy bugger!

But his teams played attractive attacking football and he signed a lot of bargains.

So for me I would be glad to see him :sladeout:

I agree with you. Someone who can relate to modern players and who would welcome the opportunity of working with a better standard of player than they may have done, even if it means putting up with our buffoon of an owner.

Of course it's a gamble but it has to be better than option 1!

So a guy who took Wigan to an FA Cup semi final only losing to Arsenal on penalties, this after beating Man City at the Etihad in the quarter final. Also took Wigan to the Championship playoffs that same season losing out to QPR, despite having a win % of 40% at Wigan, which is 3% better than Rusell Slade has with us, Wigan sacked him in what DW described as "Harsh" and probably the wrong thing to do.

If you think that makes him a "Terrible" manager I'd love to know why.

because he failed at two clubs at championship level.

failed at gaining promotion with Brentord

then failed again with Wigan, then was taking them backwards rapidly

then was showing no sign of turning things around at leeds though granted probably should have had 5/6 more games.

fa cup semi final is fantastic to be fair, and a win at man city too. But if we are going for managers who have pulled off surprising one off victories in the cup lets have phil parkinson

Well taking a Championship club into the playoffs can that really be described as a failure :? As for Brentford he rebuilt the team there without spending a penny and left them after winning 7 of the last 8 games in charge which set the club well on course for the promotion where Mark Warbuton got the plaudits. Again how can that be described as a failure :?

As for Leeds both Warnock and Mcdermott, who both have proven records at Championship leve,l and they didn't last there.

It's all about opinions and mine is there is enough on Uwe Rosler CV to suggest he would bring something to Cardiff City, if nothing more than high tempo, high pressing, attractive football.

Isn't that something we ALL want.

:bluescarf: :bluescarf:

agree about the last part, but of course it can be deemed as a failure to reach the playoffs. Derby last season is a perfect example, and us a few times but especially blackpool - and then again v reading.
Then it was a bit different in Malkys season, the top 6 was probably over achieving slightly. But roslers aim was to get wigan promoted and he didnt, then the next season yet again they were expected to be up there and he was taking them down.

I honestly don't know what to say or think...

Slade - he has done the dirty work and sorted out the mess left by Ole which I respect and thank him for, however in terms of now pushing us forward I have little faith or confidence.

Going to a game is becoming a chore for the following reasons;

1 - no attacking football or anything to get excited about
2 - no atmosphere or match day banter
3 - just an average mid table team

Something needs to change otherwise we will continue to lose points and fans.
