" Vince Alm Talking about Our Fans "

Sun Nov 01, 2015 1:45 pm

Vince Alm,watching the city through the 70s 80s and 90s was at times tough going but those of us who went used to be faced with the following question and comment after the game. "alright mate how did city get on?" "drew 0.0" "thanks mate I haven't been down since they sold toshack"

these days I'm wondering with crowds dwindling those of us who are still going if we will be faced with the following question and comment after the game. "alright mate how did city get on today?" "drew 0.0 with bristol" " thanks mate I haven't been down since the stewards told me to sit down" :D lol

I'm in the canton and at the Bristol game took a mate down as I had a spare season ticket card offered to me. Obviously my mate used the card to get in the ground then give it back to the person it was off after the turnstiles only then not to be allowed to enter the stand without showing his ticket which he no longer had f*cking jobsworth of a lady steward, then to only be checking a few other tickets. Cardiff City stadium stewarding a f*cking joke!!!

So you knew your friend had entered the ground legitimately but the Steward did not. She was doing her job correctly no joke there. What is your problem?

Your mate entered without ticket as I believe they are only valid for holder got caught out by someone doing their job what's your problem, people always complaining about stewards I have seen and heard other side where fans abuse staff as soon as they see them without any word being spoken by steward, I find if you treat people right they treat you right.to many city followers think they have right to do want they want and f... everyone else

Jobsworth I'd call it personally.

Just walked up next entrance and no questions asked there's 20k empty seats there too so don't see what the fuss was myself.

A season ticket is only supposed to be used by the person who purchased it. It's non-transferable and technically your friend is in breach of contract.

That's what the fuss is about, although I do remember the club once saying they would turn a blind eye to such behavior

That may well be the case but we all now that doesn't happen, and why is that the case anyway? what happens if you want to share season ticket as you have work commitments ect.

Nash, needs to change the attitude of his staff ASAP and stop this attitude towards City fans, as they will next season be in for a bigger shock.

Next season at this rate, 8,000 in a sterile stadium. Are CCFC now the most boring boring experience in British football, I'm afraid I think we may well be

They are indeed in for one hell of a shock, the key is to find out who's instructing it be it Nash below or above!! Fans are going to fight back, letters, media, social media. Before Saturday each and every steward in that section will know about it. Enough is enough. :bluescarf: :bluebird:

I understand what you're saying & agree with you about the problems in 116 but besides the odd singular incident around the stadium don't you think it's only a handful of fans around 116 that have an issue?
My point being, I know there are big problems around that area but how many other fans are going to fight back about something that maybe doesn't concern them?

Stewarding is a problem as they have no common sense or are not allowed to have any
me my old man and my boy are all season ticket holders and sit next to each other but as we are in the middle of a row we have to go through different entrances
all season no problem then a steward appears before the Bristol game and asks to see our tickets before we go up to our seats a and tells my boy he has to go to the next entrance and aint allowed up the entrance I go up just bloody annoying and childish

I am sure there are worse stories out there but it bloody annoys me

Is the issue only about 116 ?

A group of fans wanted to create a singing area in the Ninian which is fine, but the club didn't agree to turn a blind eye to standing as they do in the Canton.

I have watched a bit of German football and haven't seen standing in the main stands just behind the goal. Are we slagging off the club just for the sake of it ?
