Cardiff City defender Fabio has been sent to hospital after fears he may have broken a bone in his foot in the Bluebirds draw at Ipswich.



The Brazilian was clattered in the Bluebirds box in the first-half at Portman Road and despite trying to play on he sat ion the ground and was taken off to be replaced by Scott Malone.

The potential loss of Fabio is a big blow to Bluebirds boss Russell Slade , with the former Manchester United ace forcing his way into the Cardiff starting XI and proving himself one of the most reliable performers for the Welsh side.

Have said for some time that Fabio should be playing in a more offensive role,but Slade being a manager with limited imagination, it ain't going to happen

With his energy pace Fabio should be our box to box player taking on the CBs driving into the box at pace.He is wasted as a full back.

Fabio is very passionate & works his socks off every game, he also brings a lot of energy to our team. He didn't have his best game yesterday but we all make mistakes

He's spot on, Malone is a similar to Fabio probably slightly better defensively and slightly worse offensively. Systems more or less stays the same though.

last couple games hes been exposed either because he was to far away from forward or he had no cover from midfield? either way it was exposed badly!

The reason he's targeted is because he's not getting help from the left mid player.
They don't drop back and help. So clearly he's at a disadvantage 2v1
