" THE PRESSURE IS STILL ON EVEN AFTER TODAYS BATTLING AWAY DRAW AT IPSWICH "
As many City fans including myself still do not believe in Slade, so it's got to be nothing but a win now at struggling Leeds this Tuesday night.

City are now 9th in the Championship viewtopic.php?f=2&t=145418 :ayatollah:

2 wins from our last 8 league games

IPSWICH TOWN 0 CARDIFF CITY 0

Marshall
Peltier Connolly Morrison Fabio
Ameobi Whittingham Gunnarsson Ralls
Revell Mason

Moore

Crowd 17,169

222 City fans

City today went to Ipswich Town ,who had not won a league game for four games, but City's prob was scoring goals, as a City player had not scored a goal since Oct 3rd,Brighton away.

FABIO went off inured in the 30th minute, replaced by Malone

Half-time Ipswich 0 Ipswich 0

Shots 6-3
On target 2-1

Second half continued virtually even Stevens

Stats 54 % Ipswich 46% City

A fair result today 0-0 :ayatollah:

If you cant win games make sure you don't lose either we need to win at Leeds and haven't conceded a goal in 4 so we are defensively sound just missing a goalscorer. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

True, But we now need to score goals and get a couple of wins behind us, starting with Troubled Leeds and they hate playing us :ayatollah:

I believe that's two wins in our last eight games. Even the eternal optimists would have to agree that is not promotion form. When it was two points for a win and one for a draw, all our drawn matches would look reasonable. Trouble is it's two points dropped all the time now, and unless we can start turning some of these draws into wins, we will soon start plumetting downwards.

I'm sorry, but it's time for Mason to be dropped to the bench. I feel he's had a fair crack.

ok finding it hard to score but defencively strong , should have scored against bristol and today, poor finishing cost us the points! we are still creaping up on playoff spot,! bit perspective brighton are top scored a massive 4 more goals than us!! in fact only half dozen probably scored more goals, things are far from perfect but are they that bad? :old:

We play a very defensive style. Two centre mids never go beyond the striker another centre mid on one of the flanks with the other semi attacking.......If the two up top don't score we are knackered.

Revel is all our fans wanted a trier, but he is sooooo poor

Mason flatters to deceive that he is up to this level, but he is not. Yes he has scored 5 goals in 14 games but I am sure Ameobi would have scored them is he was playing of the main striker

4th best defensive record in the division after todays draw and let's face it when has a clean sheet and a draw at Portman Road been disappointing. In respect of forward players we are yet to find our most effective pairing and having to play our 5th choice forward because of injuries isn't helping, but, get the injuries sorted and settle on our best partnership and anything is still possible this season.

Win, lose or draw at Leeds.

Ameobi the renowned finisher?

Not see his miss from 2 metres out against the Wurzels?

Some key players out, but you can't counter with no pace or get up the pitch with the personnel we currently have. As much as none of us want to admit it, realistically would you expect more than what we are currently achieving with players out and lack of pace.

It's the 8 points more that Brighton have than us that's the true perspective at the moment.

no as i said before slade is more concerned with not conceding than scoring! which is depramental to attacking play. our shots at goal recently shows that?

yes maybe so but seeing as everyone is bemoaning how good they are and how bad we are? is 8 points that bad from top spot & 3 from playoffs?

Correct Revell is not Championship level, like Slades other striker he signed Doyle

Neither is Mason.

that leaves us Jones, Macheda, Saadi.

A striker in January is a must.

I don't think it matters how many goals we conceded or how many losses. Picking up one point out of a possible three on a regular basis won't get us anywhere. We could keep eight consecitive clean sheets during the next six weeks or so, but that will be irrelevent if we then find ourselves in the bottom half of the table.

We were 8th, now 9th. We were briefly in the top two, then the play offs, and now heading towards mid table. Which ever way you look at it, we are heading in the wrong direction, and 10 points from the last 24 on offer is not promotion form.
