I've now spoken to numerous persons at our club including Directors, Dalman,CEO Ken Choo and coaches etc
To be fair to Russell Slade he has done everything that has been asked of him, cost cutting including get rid of players he might of needed etc
Slade has virtually spent zero on transfers this season, but I will say when given money last season players in, in my opinion were not Championship standard, Doyle, Revel, O'Keefe, Kennedy etc , plus out of 14 of his signings only 1 player Peltier plays week in week out.
Slade this season has asked for a new striker and a new midfielder, was told we have to see how Tans news signing Saadi does first and wait till January at least and then told you have enough midfielders.
If your not going to back your football manager, you surely don't believe in him?
Is it because of lack of funds? Yet Tan and Dalman publicly stated this season they would back Slade or is it that they don't believe in Slade or trust his judgement as a manager?
If so they should sack him, if they want promotion?
Opinions please

it depends if they've told slade he has to sell ,to fund any new players ,we do need new players but I think we need to get rid of the dead wood too there's players picking up wages which are not in slades plans and need to be moved on sold or out on loan ,Im wondering annis what you think as you have been the most vocal of the debt we are in do you think we should go into more debt to buy players or should we sell to fund new players ?Forever Blue wrote:" YOU BACK YOUR MANAGER OR YOU SACK HIM? Annis, I agree with you, if Slade has done what has been asked of him which he has then there can only be one of two reasons why he hasn't been backed so far this season, the first one of course maybe is the lack of funds and the second is they don't trust him with funds to get the right players in, if it is the latter then the regime has to sack him surely, if it's the first option then Slade is the best and cheapest option to stay as Cardiff City manager. My personal opinion is that they don't think Slade is the man to take us forward hence the lack of backing.

You have the same views as me and if it's the second option which many in the club are saying, then he should be sacked.

I think tan will be happy with all the savingstheclaw wrote:Lets wait til January and see what happens,I suppose we are all hoping Idriss is going to come good.
It is frustrating when most of us think a good goal scorer could make all the difference.I just think Tan doesn't want to spend any half decent money and he does trust Slade.
Annis deep down do you think Tan is happy with what Slade has has achieved or do you believe he is disappointed but cos he's his own appointment has kept low key.

I have said since the season started that promotion is not on Tan's list of priorities. If it was, he would have splashed out on someone with experience at this level, and a track record of getting clubs promoted. If you were really aiming for the Premiership this season, would you employ a manager who has absolutely no experience of management outside of the bottom leagues, and a manager who has never actually won anything during a fairly lengthy career.

I think he's good enough to take us up but once up we should get rid of him like we should of done last time with malky and get a proven premiership manger in to take us to the next level

Problem is though, I can't remember the last time a manager was sacked after getting their team promoted!

Wez you couldn't sack a manager who took us up. Would not be fair need to give him a go.
