Most of the squad quite rightly hold him in high esteem. Anyway, he's back and with renewed vigour!
He has shown recently why he is one of the top stoppers in the league and would not be out of place in a top flight club. His saves in the last match kept the game alive and although some were understandably disappointed with the result, he did everything asked of him. Man of the match in fact.
Just shows how fragile even the best players are when it comes to public opinion.
For what it's worth, I think he is the most likely of the present squad to have a statue erected in his honour. What do you think??

don't be Silly now Willie, you were serious buddy. I have only now stopped laughing - do not think anybody has warranted a statue, past or present, tbh - Craig Bellamy maybe when he secures the Prem title as manager in the year 2025. Mystic Meg signing off

Read my ogiginal post. The last part was obviously there to provoke comment and it did its job. The point I made about Marshall being vilified very recently was the main focus of the post.
And finally, read the part of the post referring to the statue. At no point did I say Marshall should get a statue. I said that of the current squad, he would be the most worthy candidate (if one player was to receive such an honour, by implication). You can call this further back tracking if you like, but I know exactly what I intended when I wrote the post and stand by it, apart from the fact that there could be other candidates more worthy of recognition due to longevity of service.
Now do me a favour and get your stopwatch ready to time Mason and Aguero, there's a good chap.
& you will keep the little respect you have. Make out you were on mushrooms or something
