If Slade did go would anyone fancy Tim Sherwood as manager?

Please note this is not a dig at anyone.

It's hard to judge Tim sherwood as he's not really been given time at a club to judge properly,

Sherwood wanted to get Adebayor but the owner wouldn't fund it, so he went for Rudy instead. That's just one example of Sherwood failing to be backed to bring in the players he really wanted at Villa and he struggled.

So imagine how Slade feels when he can not only bring in the players he wants, but only be allowed to bring in certain players on low wages to cut the wage bill? After drastically cutting the wage bill last season, imagine how Slade feels this season when he isn't given a penny to pay a transfer fee for one player? Instead, Slade has only been allowed to sign 1 player on loan, 2 free transfers and a player Tan's Belgian team sorted out for us (who I think will hopefully do well for us).

If Sherwood struggled at Villa with LITTLE backing, how would he do for us with NO backing? In fact, how would ANY manager do for us having to make do with our current squad with no further backing? I think Slade is doing a much better job for us than most managers could. Add the fact he's cheap on only 125k a year, we should be thankful. We could be a LOT worse off!

Even if I was backed id still pick Rudy over Adebayor.

You know I'm a fan of Slade and have cringed at the usual suspects piling in this week as per however Slade's transfer market dealings leave a lot to be desired. He's had money and has not spent it well.

I know you're a Slade fan, so I'm surprised you're criticising his dealings.

Slade had to get rid of reserve players like Eikrem and replace him with O'Keefe on probably a third of Eikrem's wage. That's what he's had to put up with to trim our wage budget.

If he didn't sign O'Keefe, he would have had to sign another ball winning midfielder to replace Eikrem.

No.
Nice guy but I've always felt he didn't know what he was doing and he always sounds like a Sky Sports presenter to me.

Slade has earnt plenty more time with just 2 defeats this season so far.

Yes he has trimmed the wage budget well. I'm more talking about the fact he doesn't play his signings. Paying 750k for Doyle then loaning him out 8 months later baffled me. He's not playing Kennedy or O'Keefe either granted they didn't cost so much.

 thats exactly the point!! he should have signed someone who was going to benefit the team

Slade couldn't sign an autograph.

Sherwood not the manager we need , when Slade does go due to style of football and further crowd reduction we need a more dynamic manager , problem is on £125k a year no one will join

Crowds don't turn up for the style of football, we won the league by playing shit football and getting results. Fans turn up for a winning team, if we're in the top 6 by Christmas we'll be close to 20,000 again no doubt.

Tim Sherwood has been highly praised by those who have played for him and he was also highly rated by those who taught him through his coaching bages

His style of play is, uhm, positive and he will be back soon enough and with a decent team, too!

Would he do for us? I'm not sure any manager would please some of our fans, but I pretty sure we could do a lot worse than the up and coming Tim Sherwood

Re: Tim Sherwood?

Absoultey no chance.

Every press conference is cringe worthy. "Tim Sherwoods does his best when hes backed into a corner" "I've got a 54% win ratio, you can' beat that" Do you really want someone that speaks about themselves in the 3rd person as our manager.

He tried to be like the young mourinho and so far he has failed.

He is more about himself than the team.
