No I'm sorry I just don't think he's good enough you only have to look at the hull game to see when he comes up against a decent side he is out of the game they bullied him he's to weak and no Pace(sadly)

Ridiculous statement! Aguero would score with or without service. He would run rings around this division.
Mason is not on the same planet footballing-wise.
He does need improved feed maybe but how are you proposing he gets it? I would eat humble, pork and Claarkes pies if he smashed it. Only too willing. What are you going to eat?? Your foot that is in your mouth?? Embarrassing.

The name Aguero was only used to accentuate my statement, tongue-in-cheek, doh, didn't say Mason is on same level.
And anyway I would back Mason to beat Aguero over 100m so the 'he's too slow' is bollocks. He would thrive off somebody like Koumas or nowadays Joe Cole

I would be shocked if that was anywhere near correct but if even it was; over the key first 10 metres for a striker I would suggest Aguero would finish the 10 before Mason got past 5 metres

mmm, I don't know mate....both seem yard or two short of pace. Pace aint everything though, helps yes, but not everything, look at what Fowler achieved. We need a midfielder who can put is foot on the ball and play and let the likes of Gunarrson do his running for him

I certainly agree with you that speed of thought is even more important but I would argue that Fowler, even in his days with us !!, was quicker over those first 5 yards than MasonJust before Fowler had the big injury lay off I think he scored a a few goals and it might of been Preston at home he scored a couple and looked the sharpest player on the pitch simply because of his speed of thought. I think he followed that up with scoring a couple away at WBA.
The key with Mason is that he lacks pace and I'm not convinced that he has the speed of thought to compensate for that either.

you are right about the Preston game, sticks in my head & throat because it cost me a right few quid because they scored very late late on to draw when we were two up. Aye then he scored at WBA with JFH I think, he then became team leader of the drinking club and that was the end of him. Mason will be Player of the Year at the awards dinner and on the menu
will be humble pie as the dessert![]()
