Joe Mason

After Monday night he has been heavily criticised, even though he is our top scorer and looks to me like our biggest attacking threat. He still has a lot of learning to do, but if you look at some of the players ahead of him in the goal scoring charts. Austin, Rhodes, both worth ten million each, I think he is holding his own.

Once KJ and Ameobi are fit again and maybe when Saadi comes into the team they can hit it off and form a good partnership. He plays well with KJ, who we also need back in the side ASAP.

with a midfield of Ralls, Whitts, KD and pilkington we tend to own the ball. All can spot a pass, all are comfortable with it. Joe is simply a recipient of that, anyone can do his job, he doesn't offer us the pace of Ameobi or the strength of Jones.

I genuinely believe Gunnar or kennedy would be on 5 goals as well if they played that position.

He's a good lad, but not robust enough at the moment for this physical league. Give him a year or two and he will come into his own but now, not strong enough. Pity.

Our midfield can't spot anything as they are being told to give it to the wings and lump it in the box.

If he scores a hat-trick in the next game, he will be on 8 goals... That would equal Chris Martin at 2nd place in the top scorers list this season...
5 goals this season and nobody bar Kenwyne scored anything in double figures last season. Moan moan moan.

Give him time. The players around him need to start performing too and the goals shall flow. I stand by saying that he will hit 15 goals this season :ayatollah: :bluebird:

If I were you I'd get down the bookies and lump on because you will get loads on a Mason hat trick against Ipswich!

I actually think 15 isn't to far away from what he will score but that's not enough when others aren't chipping in. KJ will catch that and surpass it even with time off but who else?

Like I said, I like Mason and hope he can gain some presence while staying injury free. He has to work on his physique in my opinion and work smarter especially in beating the off side trap.
