Cardiff City admit club is braced for David Marshall bids in January
Russell Slade admits David Marshall will be a target

Cardiff City boss Russell Slade has admitted he is bracing himself for more Premier League interest in David Marshall in January.
The shot-stopper was again in brilliant form as the Bluebirds battled to a goalless draw in the Severnside derby in the Welsh capital last night.
With Cardiff unable to muster one shot on target all game, it was down to the Cardiff defence and in Marshall to keep a dominant Bristol City at bay.
The Scottish international pulled off a host of outstanding saves to preserve the point and when he was beaten Cardiff had to rely on the woodwork to save them.
Slade, whose side remain eighth in the Championship ahead of a tough trip to Ipswich on Saturday, praised Marshall, but said there was a real possibility the club could again find it hard to hold onto their number one when the transfer window opens on January 1.

He does not want to leave. Settled in area. First choice for us, first choice for Scotland, he is happy.

The only way he should go,is if he is guaranteed first team football whichever club comes in for him. If I was a representative of Everton, I would be enquiringly about him now to replace Howard in January.

I would have no problem with him leaving to be first choice keeper with a premier league team but I think it would be a big mistake on his part to go as second choice.

We cant meet any possible ambition he has at the moment.
It'll be £5m in the coffers.

aston villa might be a possibility

Pulis was there last night.

I wish Pullis was in the dugout instead of the stand last night!!

Depends how ambitious he is. He is not getting any younger and is unlikely to get Premiership football again if he stays here. Unfortunately, I can't see Slade getting much of any money raised by selling him.

Why would he choose to stay with a club whose owner has shown no ambition since the premier league debacle?
And an owner who has only attended 1 match ,1match ! In 18 months.

To good for this level, Moore is a good replacement

I wouldn't blame him if goes, he is wasting his time with us, hurts me to say but we are no more than average, We had a good start and were playing decent football, however for the last few games we have gone back to the crap we dished up last season.
We have a great Goalie, a decent defence, a decent midfield, but nothing up front, Mason and Revell both give 100% but they are not natural goal scores, although we did have a decent striker but sadly he has been shipped back to Spain without being given a chance, so back to Marshall, he deserves to play in the Premier and good luck, really don't want to lose but with the money lets prey we buy a good striker or two who know where the net is, otherwise it is Mid table for us.

It appears Marshall has been forgiven for his sins; re-being sent off a few weeks ago
That said DM was the difference between 1 point and nothing on Monday because the outfield players contributed nothing to the result. It was televised so the secret of DM is back out there and it would be amazing if some club or other was not interested.
From a business position the amount we will get for him will deprecate as his contract runs down and he gets older.
It may be time to get the best possible deal and get Simon Moore up to scratch.
