' IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY ? '

Mon Oct 26, 2015 9:44 pm

We were dominated all game.

Our full backs were awful, Fabio and Peltier were caught out time and again.

What did we create tonight?

Revell and Mason looked like strangers to each other.

I am fuming with what I just seen.

Dreadful Carl. Agree both full backs were poor a d we could not get to grips with bristol formation. Surely slade knew how bristol set up?

Once whitts went in middle we were very much over run. I would have put Ralls in middle and kept whitts wide. Not one shot on target

Slade and the players should have their wages stopped. Russell please please go now :sladeout:

Completely agree Carl. Terrible tonight.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we will struggle to score goals when Kenwyne Jones is not around.

A bit harsh on the full backs.i thought they did it alright, esp Fabio.
The attacking force were shittttttt.

Bristol are in a false position they are a decent team and thats three clean sheets in a row we just need a striker and a point so move on. :thumbright:

Agree we need a striker, and a proper manager top of the list. then the crowds will return :sladeout: :sladeout: :sladeout: :sladeout:

Disagree with you all.
We were second best no doubt, but it wasn't really down to full backs or strikers.
Biggest problem was midfield.
Every one of them lost their battles and it only got better in the last few minutes after Pilkington came on .
No one and Gunner were passengers.

Ameobi still should have won it in the end.

Peltier played well. I only remember him getting beaten once in the second half but that was because he slipped.

Fabio had a shocker, particularly in the first half where he was skinned and beaten by Bennett every time, although Whittingham in front of him doesn't help.

Marshall was the obvious man of the match but if pushed to select our best outfield player tonight, I will go with Connolly.

Noone is one paced and predictable, Mason is easy to play against and our midfield was exposed by Bristol's extra man.

Bristol could afford to play with 3 centre backs as our wingers were ineffective until Ameobi came on.

Pilkington made a small difference and has done enough to win his place back from Noone. I think all 3 subs should start the next game actually.

Not a prayer of going up team are garbage and where the feck were all the fans tonight the place was empty for what most consider our main derby game, embarrassing is an understatement.

Re: ' IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY ? '

Never mind about the team's performance, where are all our fans.

For a Derby game, I remember the fans watching from the aisles, because there wasn't any room to sit down (at Ninian park)

No big surprises, I don't know what everyone is getting so dramatic about  We started out as an ok Championship team and we still are, who will finish mid table, we have no one of any quality up front so will struggle to score goals, the back four is functional, but none of them is stand out, although, tonight Fabio was particularly poor, in fact he was crap. This team will never, ever get promoted. Tonight, justified why all those are staying away- I myself almost travelled down, I'm so glad I never caved in

I cannot understand how Revell gets a game.
Really poor footballer for this level.

Not really embarrassing! Our club as like most other British football clubs, want customers, not loyal fans, so guess what, customers spend their hard earned only when they are getting value for money, which for sure this team ain't providing :thumbright:

Such a terrible performance tonight. I said at pre- season we could be playoff contenders, when all around were predicting doom, but based on the past two games something has gone missing. If Slade and the team bounce back quickly, in terms of results and performances, then these two games will be seen as a blip. However, as a manager, HE has a mountain to climb quickly. Agree with Annis, the attendance this season will remain challenged until a different manager and philosophy arrives. Watched the post match review with Steve Cotterill - there's a manager who appears to currently be loved by the players, club and fans. I've forgotten what that feels like, but that is what we need.

I thought central midfield were doing a half decent job until Whitts was moved into the middle. I fully agree we got over run from that point.

All valid points raised on last nights game, Fabio had an awful game and Bennett beat him in every one on one.

Surely we have now seen enough of Revel to conclude he is not a Championship standard striker and is basically wasting a shirt. Slade now has to look at other options if Jones is not fit because playing Ravel is totally pointless.

On the positive we didn't lose and are still in the mix for a play-off place. The coaching staff have a lot to work on and I hope that hard work starts TODAY!

I thought that Ralls would have been better going central too.

After watching last nights game live on Sky I realize why I made the decision to stop travelling 60 miles to watch home games anymore. No need for any debate on why attendances are down, the standard of football is total crap , end of !!!!

The football last night was just like last season - dire.

Looks like Slade is taking us back to the road from last season playing Whittingham and Gunnarsson in the middle again. This just does not work. Slade is about the only person who does not recognise this and why he should go.

Utterly clueless, why did he take Noone off and keep Revell on? Why doesn't he play Kennedy to inject some pace?

From a commercial perspective, the club have to see that the dire football bring played matched with a clueless manager is driving supporters and gate receipts away in their droves. The club would get a better return by sacking Slade and paying more to a better manager - more people will then come.

Carry on as we are, then crowds will continue to drop. That includes ST renewals for next season.

We have flattered to deceive all season. I can't see how last night can be called a 'blip'. Its more like the team getting exposed for what they really are - Average to below.

We have no end product - that is the problem

Oh for the days of Chopra Bothroyd and McCormack etc

Terrible game. All over the shop, flat 442 Ravell and Mason league one players. Just look at the players we have let go, disgusing. Im glad i never renewed, felt robbed leaving the stadium last night.

Personally I really think this message board and others like it have to take part of the blame for the low crowds. People reading it who haven't attended the match are given no reason to come back because everything is doom and gloom. It's not just this season this message board was pouring out the negatives even in the season we got promotion. Grow up lads, accept there is problems at the club and on the pitch and get on with doing what we should do best support the boys and make some noise (at the actual ground rather than on here would be preferable!)

message boards form such a small minority of those who go to games

So those of us who do go are not allowed to voice an opinion?

Well, I will voice mine anyway. Slade out asap please. posting.php?mode=quote&f=2&p=1730780#

I must be the only person who actually though Peltier had a good game :laughing6:

Kadeem had a great run of matches last season before his sending off.....get him back and put some pace in the front line.

Rhys Healey too deserves an opportunity...get him back.

And Kennedy deserves more than a seat on the bench.

Rather than the same old, sample old yawn draw, we may sneak a win.

Bristol City had a cart horse up front last night but they looked a lot more mobile than our bunch of plodders.
