Bristol City are a bigger club says Nathan Blake

Monday Oct 26th

Tonight’s clash should be a good one with Bristol City starting to improve and starting to find their feet a bit after coming up from League One last season.

Under Steve Cotterill, over the last four or five games, they have started to pick up a few results.

They owned League One really last term and the hope is, when you do come up to the Championship, that momentum is going to carry on and you will hit the ground running.

That didn’t happen for the Robins at first, but they have stuck at it and should give Cardiff a good test.

Bristol are a lot like Cardiff I think, two big clubs, with great support. I feel it’s almost criminal that a city the size of Bristol has not have a representative in the Premier League.

I think both City and Rovers have the capabilities to do it when you look at their fan-bases in particular.

Bristol City are slighter bigger I reckon and with the money they have spent improving Ashton Gate you could not argue with them potentially being a top-flight club and not too far in the future either.

Saying that, the Bluebirds are the clear favourites for tonight’s clash for me.
