IVE SAID ALL ALONG: DON'T THROW MONEY AT IT...

HOWEVER, Slade has proved his worth in rationalising the squad and working with what he has. Now it's time to give him some resources IF HE IS TO PUSH FOR PROMOTION.

I have said maybe another year in Championship would be good. Maybe I was wrong! Back him and see what happens.

He is a man of integrity. He wouldn't just come out with statements unless he was confident that the money would do good.

There, I said it. :thumbright:

I think with what he has done so far he deserves the chance to bring in a striker to help push us on. Look what Frazier did for us in the January transfer window.

His goals and Malky changing formation towards the end of the season helped us get over the line

Or maybe we don't have to as Saadi could prove to be the difference. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Only concern with him is that it will be difficult for him to hit the ground running.

Worth the gamble if the fee is as low as whats been mentioned but I don't think we will see much of him for a while. Hope I'm wrong, but don't think he should have to much pressure put on him

It shouldn't be pressure its not like he came in for a lot of money.

I think Slade has performed a very good job, but i do worry about our clubs recent recruits.

But, I believe plan A is about Macheda. We changed our style of play from lumping it which will help him, Mason is a provider rather than main guy and he has amazed me with his contribution so far, but i see him as bit of a passenger and all his goals could have been scored by any other player playing that position.

Look at it from Tan's perspective. He has sunk £130m into this club and apart from a Premiership relegation and an empty unused stand extension he really has nothing to show for it.

Two previous managers have probably gone to him with the same tale of needing 'a striker' and we have a failed list which includes Andreas Cornelius, Adam le Fondre, Kevin Doyle, Peter Odemwingie, Kenwyne Jones and the 2 above.

We are probably talking £11m+ in fees and probably that much again in wages and the manager returns saying all he needs is another striker. If it was your money what would you say?

That's why I agree that Slade will have to look into his own recourses to solve the striker problem.

The above 2 will have to be tried out and possibly Rhys Healey.

Unless someone is sold I can't see anyone coming in.

With the exception of Odemwingie , none of those strikers possessed pace....something we are still lacking up front. Unless Saadi can adapt rapidly - which I doubt - then we must buy someone like Fraizer in January. How about Campbell at Palace?

We've done very well but clearly not perfect, that's why we're 8th in the table. Which I am not complaining about at all. Especially when our performances have been good.

Slade has definitely earned the chance to spend in the January transfer window. Not too much money though, give him £2 million max.

I would take Fraizer Campbell anyday again at this level. Proven goalscorer, fast and hardworking. Just the type of striker we are missing up front! :thumbright:

No but with everyone feeling like we need another striker to push on, there seems to be a lot of hope he is going to be the answer.

I have a feeling he will be look at that other French striker we were linked with he came from the same league as Saadi and is scoring goals so why not?

Who was that?

Did we pick Gestede up from the same league?
