The signing of hungry lower league players when i was a lad all the top sides used to do it now it just seems throw millions for some foreigner who signs a contract worth an obscene amount then doest give a shit !!!

Good question.

The answer is probably the money that is in the game now. Even League 1 players are looking for big pay days to move to the Championship when clubs can go abroad and get top flight players from half a dozen top European leagues for the same money.

I blame the agents but there again I blame them for lot more than that.
