KENWYNE WILL MISS DERBY GAME V BRISTOL CITY/ RETURNS FOR TRAINING NEXT WEDNESDAY

There is a very good chance Kenwyne Jones could at least be on the bench v Bristol City on Monday.

Jones X-Rays showed no bone damage but now Cardiff medics will assess the 31-year-old to determined the length of his lay-off, thankfully,no where near as bad as first thought.

Slade will get his medics to give Jones a fitness test over the weekend.

Did we miss Jones v Boro?

Do you want Jones to start v Boro?

Yes and yes !

Ravell works harder but simply doesn't provide a threat in the penalty box, I won't knock him but worry about his lack of goal threat. It would have been very interesting to see if Kenwyne would have profited from the better delivery of Whitts out wide. Kenwyne worries defenders, and keepers, when the ball is crossed into the box and we should play to his strengths seeing as we don't have many options up front.

I do think that if we play Jones the wide men should be looking to get crosses in more quickly and frequently and with Noone looking like he's coming into a bit of form (hopefully) Jones becomes more important.

Just a view.

Kenwyne will do well coming off bench .

If he is fit he should play.
