Nice guy - shame about the lack of managerial ability.

Without him - we may have stood a fighting chance in the PL - with him - we were doomed.

Never appoint a new manager when your in the PL that hasnt managed there before - lesson learned

Can't blame him for taking the opportunity in the Premier League. I'm sure he now knows that managing in this country isn't for him.

 Not exactly the lesson i think he learned, and not exactly how the rest of the footballing world see it, from reading comments from arround the world. You dont go from hot prospect to nothing after a few months under Vincent Tan and his trainwreck Club.. I think the lesson he learned, dont take on a club with a right and left wing in club politics...

All the comments calling Ole a nice guy after the way he treated Hudson! Baffling!

When Crystal Palace hammered us, George Wood said he couldn't believe how amateur our set up was under Ole! He described it as "like a youth set up".

So You praise Slade for the circumstances he has to work under. Ignoring talented youngsters, lying about players injury in the press. Making others train with the 21's. All so they want to leave. Because that's what he is told to do. But you hate Ole for bringing a message to Hudson after the 'committee ' signed Manga..

What made Ole get the premier league job is still there. Ole is the same, but one experience richer. Cardiff City isn't exactly the best place to be, so I see no reason why he still can't get a international career.

When Ole sell the highest earners and replace them with young cheaper options he is an idiot. When Slade does the same he is some kind of martyr working under difficult circumstances. You couldn't make it up.. If you don't see why Ole left, and why they dug up Slade the joke is on you..

Ole left because Tan called a meeting with him because he realized he was still shit with with his own over sized expensive squad and told that there is going to have to be cut backs and Ole wasn't having it so left good riddance anyway and brought in Slade because Slade has got a reputation of getting very cheap squads to push above their weight which and that for me is what a real manager is.

So Tan set a budget for the season, put up a transfer committee, and then pull the plug 7 games in? And then makes the genius decision to dig up Slade? Got it  Thanx :bluescarf:

You're not very bright are you.

Malky assembled a squad largely of free transfers for his first season and took us to the playoffs and the Carling Cup final.

Malky was backed to build on the squad he assembled during his first season and we won the title by 8 points. Our promotion to the Premiership hugely benefitted our club financially.

Malky then spent millions in our Premiership season (as any manager of a newly promoted Premiership team does) and we never entered the relegation zone during his reign. Cornelius aside, I thought Malky spent quite well. We only played 2 teams at home that finished in the bottom half of the Premiership that season, Swansea and West Brom, which were both 1-0 wins. I believe we would have picked up many more results at home against the teams in the bottom half around us, as Malky always made us organised and hard to beat. Unfortunately, Tan's disruptions had a huge effect on our performances towards the end of Malky's reign and we never got to find out if Malky would have kept us up, but I strongly believe he would have without Tan's disruptive interference.

Ole then gets hired and spends millions signing his 3 Norweigians, 2 of them, Eikrem and Berget were nowhere near good enough. Daehli looked a great talent but wasn't suited to the British game. Zaha and Kenwyne got brought in who are the exact characters we didn't need for a relegation battle at that level. But my biggest criticism of Ole was his tactical decisions (who else would replace a right back with another right back when 2-0 down at Swansea?). As soon as we entered the relegation zone under Ole, we didn't get back out. We were so open it was unreal, losing 3-0 and 4-0 at home to teams we finished above in the Championship the previous season. Ole turned us from a well organised unit to a disorganised mess. Ole was completely out of his depth. He was then like a kid in a sweet shop spending millions to build his own oversized, unfit squad which struggled in the Championship. Under Ole, our club went drastically backwards and we took a massive financial hit.

Slade then got brought in, taking on the near impossible task of sorting out Ole's mess, trimming the squad and drastically cutting the budget, while still keeping us competitive. Slade has done all that, but he's done more than kept us competitive. Slade has improved us this season without being given a single penny to spend in the transfer market and we are currently 1 point off the playoffs. Slade has done an incredible job so far and it baffles me how some fans still want Slade out.
