Is Wales success effecting city crowds?

Tue Oct 20, 2015 10:07 pm

It shouldn't do, it should have the opposite effect but does anyone think that Wales success is having a negative effect on our crowds? We all know it's many reasons, but do you think this is one?

Am asking this question as I know so many " city fans" who have attended recent Welsh matches but were not present tonight or moist of our other matches, are they now getting there Football fix with Wales?

It may well have some bearing on it.

But it could also be that most fans are by nature fickle and will only want to follow teams who are "successful". At the moment Wales are doing far better than Cardiff and therefore the "floating" fan will always sway towards the national team.

If, come the end of the season, City are near the top of the table, most of those so called "fans" will be back and claiming their devotion to the club as they will be if we get drawn against a "big" side in the FA Cup.

NO

Cardiff City Football Club got way above its station and fucked it all up.

Harsh but true.

I don't think so. We are only getting slightly smaller crowds than expected for a club of this size. We had some above average crowds for a while because we had spent decades in the lower leagues and had been starved of success, and at last we were back in the second tier of English football. We were also getting into the play offs and having some good cup runs. We have now returned to the sort of crowds we always used to have when were an established second division side, and if we look like serious challengers for a top two place around xmas time, we will see an extra five or six thousand fans returning to the CCS. Probably a combination of things affecting us at the minute, mainly unexciting football and many fans not believing that we can be serious promotion contenders this season. An exciting striker who can guarantee goals (like Toshack or Chopra) would help.

Seriously though,
Cardiff City's Success has cost them not The International team.

Between the chaos of the rebrand and the actions of Mr T himself we have no one to blame but ourselves.

definitely yes, loads of Cardiff following Wales, and my mate said he spoke with loads in Bosnia and they said they have knocked Cardiff on the head because less hassle following Wales. Take that how you like
