I was shocked when I saw Gunnarsson on the team-sheet tonight and I immediately said that I thought we'd struggle against this Middlesbrough team - their form was bound to pick up again at some point.
I thought we started brightly, with Whittingham and Connolly both stinging former-Bluebird Dimi Konstantopolous' fingers. Middlesbrough found their way back in the game towards the end of the half but with no real clear-cut chances.
Second half was a lot different, with plenty of chances for both sides but Boro really struggled with City's attacking play at times.
We have had no luck recently but we got it today for the own goal in the 86th minute. Remember, to get the luck you need to be in the positions in the first place![]()
Middlesbrough nearly got a late equaliser but great defending from Peltier. In truth, they don't look like a side who will disrupt the top six as the season goes on. Cardiff City could.
This could be a huge result tonight. It can give the players, remember a lot were fringe players tonight, the confidence to play. If you can get confidence in your players, then you'll always have a chance.
A deserved win and I'm very happy tonight![]()

They are no mugs and like I've said, anyone can beat anyone in this division. They shouldn't be in the bottom 4 but are for a reason but are capable of beating anyone. They beat Middlesborough away.

No game is a walk in the park, am not sure who said this but it will be the minority. We will need Ralls back and please no Revell and we might have a chance of winning this one. Am glad you won, last I wanted was a fired up Bristol two wins on the bounce coming here
