' CITY TONIGHT/YES YES YES/BUT '

Tue Oct 20, 2015 8:41 pm

Cardiff City 1-0 Middlesbrough :ayatollah:

Attendance: 13,371, sadly a new record low

A late own goal secures all 3 points for the Bluebirds :ayatollah:

It wasn't the most entertaining game but we got the job done :ayatollah:

Great 3 points :ayatollah:

Bluebirds :ayatollah:

You forgot to mention the corner where put eight players on the goaline. What was that about? :sladeout:

31 year old Stuart Downing at £5.5 million .... and 30 year old David Nugent at £4 million ..... are costly players for " Boro "
but they had little influence tonight against Cardiff ......

A good battling performance from Cardiff ...... with a few hiccups that went unpunished ......

A win is a win with a bit of luck for our goal ....... against one of the fancied sides in the championship

Sort out our striking department and we will have a chance come the end of the season

I'd disagree about it not being entertaining!

I thoroughly enjoyed that game and thought both teams had good spells.

Some lovely football being played between Fabio and Whitts and Peltier and Noone

Lots of encouraging signs despite all the injuries. I just worry about where the goals will come from.

If you over look the late goal the game was basically a 0-0 draw. For a game of few chances and deadlock for most of the match it was a pretty entertaining game and like you I have seen a lot worse.

Can't believe you actually enjoyed that game I turned to my mate next to me after 80mins and said I wish I went home after work . I worked my arse off all day to get there on time just to watch that . These players are on grands a week and some of them need to shape up . Easily could of lost that and been ahh slade this slade that .

Agree with you, I've seen worse games but I can't see fans flocking back to watch games like this.

Yes, I did enjoy the game !!

I thought both teams tried to play football and, certainly in the first half, City created more good chances in a 45 mins than I can remember for months (although I accept it's been pretty poor in that time !!).

The criticism I would make is that the front two just don't look like conjuring something up unless it's created for them on a plate and even then I think they'd struggle to convert !!

What I'd give for a Chopra, Bothroyd, Earnshaw, etc. right now !! If we had one of them I put money on a play off place, as it is I think we will struggle to break down teams who come here to "park the bus" in those tight home matches.
