If you really think this, ask the steelworkers who got their jobs back in Newport last week because of European investment. Do you think the M4 gan be improved without Europe aid or electrification of the valley lines. The south East of England could probably do all right without Europe but it would send most of Wales even further back and remember we are all ready one of the poorest regions in Europe, poorer than Romania, poorer than Poland. Pulling out would be the end of Wales.

The problem with the steel and heavy industries works is high energy costs the government are not allowed to subsidize this due to eu competition laws ,we would be more competitive out of the eu ,most of the so called eu money is our money anyway plus it has to be match funded ,why are we getting the money in the first place ? Coz we are seen as poor and put of the problem is Britain giving out money to the eu,also we can't create our own trade agreement s either the rest of the world ,remember we don't have to be in the eu to trade with them

Our electricity costs are much higher than European countries, and that is the major reason why many industries are unviable in the uk, same as fuel costs, that's not dow to the Eu but successive Governments taxation. Unfortunately successive Westminster governments have refused to match fund objective one money that should have made Wales better off. You cant blame the Eu for that but you can blame Westminster. Do you honestly believe that England would give as much money to Wales as we get from the Eu? Don't believe what you read in the English press. i'm sure in many leafy suburbs of England they put much more into Europe than they get back. That is certainly not the case in Wales, Scotland and many areas of England,

A few people coming out on here today! :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:

I like Europe and I consider the UK to be an important part of Europe. If we could return to the original idea of a 'Free Trade' Europe, as voted for in the 1970's, I would vote to stay in

However, the current 'do as you're told' attitude of the 'bully' nations (France and Germany in particular) alongside the faceless, unelected bureaucrats that actually make the decisions that effect every aspect of what we used to call 'The British way' is abhorrent to me and I want a return to a place where our politicians can make decisions based on what is 'best' for the people of the UK, which is why we (well, some did!) voted them in!

So it's definitely OUT for me, too!

Re: Leave the EU In or out ? Poll

Absolutely. We stay in then it's a green light for mass immigration we've never witnessed before. NHS will collapse, Housing will become a nightmare as houses/flats are prioritised for immigrants. Immigrants claim 70% welfare. David Cameron has allowed 70 million Turks to come next year. Civil war is looming.

100,000 British citizens sleep rough but scroungers get first dibs on everything. Leave the EU and reclaim our borders.

20k Syrain refugees we're taking and not 1 is Christian but all Muslims. The government are walking around the camps picking Muslims out to come here. The reason?, can't discriminate against Muslims even though they're killing Christians.

The EU is a good idea but it's being run by clueless Morons and Merkel is the most dangerous political figure since Hitler. There is going to be violence across Europe like we have never seen before.

I'm confident Cameron can get the reforms we all want and stay in. He had never been in a better position European wise because of the migrant issue has really damaged that German trout and many of the Eastern European countries are really pissed off with the issue

Re: Leave the EU In or out ? Poll

I for staying in Europe but I also want to see change. Firstly the UK shouldn't be the only country to follow the rules. How France & Germany get away with ignoring rules they don't like is scandalous.

The internal running of the EU needs to be sorted out as its budget has not been signed off as audited for over 20 years and that is completely unacceptable.

However, I believe in the concept of a more closer European super state as we (the UK) are basically an after thought in world affairs and our influence is bound to decline over the next 50 years.

The combined economies of the EU make it the richest in the world, greater than USA or China and if we can somehow make it work better Europe would be a great place to live.

As you can guess, i'm 100% get out!

We pay £55m a day membership fee and get less than half of it back and have no control over our own borders while we are in.

Cameron is weak and we all know it. Talks big then backs down. And what reforms are we going to get ? We need to set our own laws and get rid of that human rights act and set our own new ones. The EU HRA is designed to protect asylum seekers, rapists, murderers, but never the ordinary citizen. The EU is run by the ultra left nut jobs.

Couldn't of put it better.

An illegal immigrant was driving a car, no licence or insurance and had a false passport on him when he mowed a 7 year old girl down on the Zebra crossing and killed her and drove off. Caught him half an hour later 5 miles from me. He got 6 weeks in prison and was allowed to remain here and living in a flat at our expense. The family were outraged and wanted him deported but the immigration panel ruled he had a right to live here as it would infringe his human rights.

It's the party rather than Cameron especially whoever the leading figures are to become next Tory leader. By the time this comes round Cameron will do whatever the party whips decide but they know that he is in a fantastic position

What assumptions are those?.

What in the history of the EU has suggested that the other nations will agree to reforms set out by a single country.

Agree ,we are not going to get reform ,we need to get out asap when people voted back in the 70 s it was for a common market not a super state of countries
