A forum for all things Cardiff City

Slade believed Craig Noone was fouled in the box during the second half at Preston.
"It looks a strong, strong claim for a penalty," he said.
"Even the centre-half who he'd spoken to admitted it was a penalty but we just don't seem to be getting them at the minute.
"I was a little bit disappointed that some of the things we'd worked on, in the first period there was only just glimpses of really.
"It wasn't a great game or spectacle by either side in the first period and not a lot of opportunities, but that was in contrast to the second half.
"Even though mistakes were made, there were opportunities to be taken and we were looking to do that. We pushed forward.
"I thought Noone made a difference coming on at half-time. We took the game to them and we had some wonderful opportunities to get on the scoreboard.
"They put their bodies on the line. They threw everything at it. I think there were three blocks on the bounce at one stage in their box, so credit to them for defending as well."

I'll have to stop reading his analysis.
Makes me nauseous.

In fairness to Slade I think he's summed up the game pretty well.

Sounds about right to me, we were poor in the first half then created a good few chances in the second. There were a lot of Good clean strikes blocked from some decent defending. Noone was Def a penalty but the ref wasn't giving any thing to either side.
Needs to improve at home Tuesday

The ref bottled it and Slade has summed it up well as always.

We have failed to win seven of our eleven games so far. From comments on this forum it seems to be the refs fault every time. I don't buy into that, we only ever seem to see the decisions that go against us. Preston fans will be saying exactly the same as they had a penalty shout as well. Decisions even themselves out over time, and we can't blame the ref every time we fail to win. I think our players have a bigger influence on the game than the officials.

From the highlights I think Preston could easily have had 2 pens, any mention of that

They were very soft calls for pens.
