MORE LIKE IT FROM NOONE
At Preston yesterday

Craig Noone looked like a man on a mission when he was introduced at the break. His determination to make an impact perhaps was overstated at times, a couple of wrong decisions taken and needless attempts to score long-rangers when a pass was on. However, for the first time in a long time Noone showed the kind of pace and trickery that makes him an asset, beating opponents and providing the urgency and width Cardiff had been lacking and then looking for when Slade made an early call to change things at the break.

Whether it was enough to force a change of thoughts when Joe Ralls has performed so consistently in the tucked-in wide spot is another thing, but it was refreshing to see that spark from the bench.
