Name another realistic manager we can attract on 125k a year able to severely cut our budget whilst still getting us challenging for the playoffs, without spending a penny?

I will look forward to your list of alternatives...

He won't have a f*cking clue but I bet he will come up with the predictable answer of Pulis.

He probably will. Imagine Pulis joining us on a 125k a year wage working for our crackpot owner!

I think spade should go before he digs a hole so deep we can't get out of it . I am sure he is doing his best, that's the trouble. We cannot play for more than about thirty inured in each game , the football is dire and only someone along excuses for Tan or his yes man would see it otherwise. Fans of this club need to stop this lets pull together nonsense and stand up for the club.

He dug of out of a hole I think many other managers could not have. Most would have taken us down last year. Keep him untill the end of the season and then find a manager who can push us on I rekon

Agree, get to the end of the season, let his contract run out, pay him whatever bonus he is due and work out if Bellers is ready.

How can any manager push us on when Tan won't give him a penny to spend?

Because we have a squad good enough to go up, even if we were given just a few mill to spend in the summer. Slade has made us a solid unit and brought back some fight but I still don't believe he's the guy we need going forward in terms of building a creative successful team. I'm not knocking what he has done though he's done a good job all considered

We're still a couple of players short of having a squad good enough to go up imo. Slade has loaned players out to cut the wage bill and it's a shame Tan won't allow the saved wages to be spent on bringing in a couple of loan signings to strengthen us further.

We need some loan signings more than ever now with our best centre back and best striker both out injured. If we don't act now, we will start to slide down the table and lose ground on the playoff places. Of course, I suppose it'll all be solely Slade's fault when that happens mind!

Laughable considering Burnley spent 6 million plus on a striker.

Derby spent over 10 million.

Downing for Middlesborough - 5.5 million.

We have spent barely anything.

If you wan't success go support someone else. Nothing in the history of Cardiff City has meant we should be in and around the top of the championship. We've gone to the prem once.

Once.

As you can see below, we have changed how we do things:

DJ was on around 800k a year plus bonuses and was given a budget to enable him to bring in players on big wages.

When the rebrand was first announced Blazing Saddles was all for it, he wanted the red so we could get investment and catch up with Swansea. He then backed himself up with his alais cool hand luke. I'll have to dig the quotes out.

The blokes always been a first class c**t.

Chopra, Koumas, Fowler, Hasselbaink, Sinclair to name a few. Jones chose to use his budget by bringing in big named players on loan or on free transfers on big wages. I'm not slating him for that as he dramatically raised the profile of our club and brought us a lot of success.

Slade has also had to offload players to trim the squad and balance the books. But because of circumstances, Slade definitely hasn't been given the freedom to bring in the replacements on big wages Jones was able to. Apart from Doyle, I think Slade's next biggest purchase has been Scott Malone for 75k.
