Apparently Martin O' Neil or Roy Keane will run the rule over Joe Mason with a call- up in mind for the Republic's Euro play-off, as Shane Long may not be fully fit. Would be great to see him get in the squad.

Joe Mason has five goals, they say you need a 20 goal striker to get promoted, can he do that?

He’s had 15 shots on target five have gone in. Joe’s doing what is required of him and he’s enjoying that number 10 position. He’s capable of getting a minimum of 15 goals I feel so, who knows, if he stays injury free he could get to 20, that personally would be a great season for him and good for team too.

That would be great for Mason.

He's not good enough, but I did say pre season he will score goals which he is doing.

I predict if Joe stays fit he will get at least 20 goals this season

And Ireland are quite right to look at him
