" The Blues Are Back in Town Launch "

Wed Oct 14, 2015 2:20 pm

WIll be launching my book, being published by Parthian, at the Andrew Buchan on Albany Road tomorrow night (Thurs) from 7.30pm.

Haven't been on here much recently, but appreciate the support I had while I kept a blog of last season. The book also looks back at my time as a fan over the years, and there's a whole section about the battle to return to blue.

On the night of the launch, local band Shop Girls will be doing a set, and hoping for a DJ also. Come along if you like, no obligation to buy a book!

This is the facebook event page:

If you can't make this one, I will also be doing a signing at Wellfield Road Bookshop from 1pm on Saturday October 17th, then will also put in an appearance at The Westgate from 6pm before the Middlesbrough match on Tuesday October 20th.

Thanks for the support throughout Annis. Believe it or not, have still not seen the finished book. They should be ready today, and I should finally see them tomorrow! :bluescarf:

Good luck with your book.

Always nice to see books about supporting the club we all love getting published.

Congratulations and if it sells well you could become as rich as Annis. :o

Misleading title, thought you were writing about Cardiff RFC going back to the Arms Park

Good luck with the book

Hi, it is a fair point. There was a book about our promotion to the Premiership which was called The Blues Are Going Up and we didn't even play in blue at that time!

I think The Bluebirds are Back In Town is a bit of a mouthful though, especially as the title is obviously based on the Thin Lizzy song. I think the colour blue became a clearly identifying factor about the club, hence justification for the title. There is also the subtitle, A Year and a Lifetime supporting Cardiff City which makes it clear what the book is about, plus the cover image depicts Cardiff City fans outside the CCS.
