Pathetic performance,coleman clueless!!

Sat Oct 10, 2015 10:25 pm

Haha!! Only joking, who gives a f**k!! We will worry teams with our counterattack threat. I will say though, how can we best utilise Ramsey's world class ability? He's drifting through games with little influence....Is he trying too hard? I'm not criticising, it's an observation he's not having the same creative influence he has at the arsenal. :bluebird: :ayatollah:

Sloppy play at times.
Certain games we don't make the best of players. Hopefully. We don't become to predictable.

Thought we were fine until the announcement on Tannoy that Cyprus were winning.

Game over then.

We need to play 4-4-1-1. Ashley Wiliams our best defender plays in this system most weeks (or 4-5-1). Ramsey plays in front of a back 4 as well. In fact the majority of our team play in club matches where there are 4 at back and 4 in midfield.

If we persist with 5-4-1 we will not get out of group stages in the finals.

Ramsey plays as an attacking midfielder. He is never in front of the back 4.

Sorry didn't go into detail about Ramseys position. You are correct that he plays more attacking role. Having Joe Allen ovLedley next to him would give Rambo that freedom

Coleman plays Ledley and Allen as defensive midfielders leaving Bale and Ramsey as attacking midfielders supporting the front man. Wing backs give the width. It's the formation that beat Israel 3 nil, beat Belgium and got us our first qualification since 58. I think it works quite well.

Counter argument. Formation failed to beat Bosnia in 2 games and was woeful v Andorra with Bale getting us out of jail. It also failed to beat Israel at home and you could argue that Bale beat a weakened Israel on his own in the away game.

I'd love to be proved wrong but I can see us being pointless in the euro group stages if formation doesn't change.

My worry is the lack of goals, in the group only Andora have scored less.

I really hope this is a huge stepping stone for Welsh football and we get better with time.

c'mon ccs on Tuesday night :)

We have lost confidence in attack. Just look at the Isreal game, arguably one of the most creative welsh away performances on record.

We need to have more confidence going forward, and trust the defence to hold out. Similar to City in many ways, focussing too much on defence rather than going for the win.

Obviously its fantastic to have made it through, but we limped over the line at the end relying on other sides. We have been top of this group for so long and now thrown it away at last hurdle. This group should have been wrapped up a month ago

Should depend on who we're playing. Happy with wing backs and playing on the break v. Top teams. Against weaker opposition I think 4-4-1-1 would be preferable.

Robson Kanu 34 goals in 233 games
Voakes 62 goals in 284

Same age, Voakes has less mobility, but knows where the goal is. He has been injured and Hal has done a great job, but management is about making the big decisions.
