'The greatest night in Welsh football history'

Sat Oct 10, 2015 9:18 pm

This must surely go down as the greatest night in Welsh football history. Who cares how we did it, tonight was all about getting the job done, and thanks to our good friends in Cyprus, we did just that.

Huge credit must go to a number of people. Gary Speed would have been so proud and started taking this group of players forward. I know he will be looking down with a smile.

Chris Coleman, for sticking with his beliefs when people though he was a clown.

The fans who stuck by our nation when times were tough, watched all the near misses, the 4-0 defeats, being laughed at from all corners.

And well done to the players, who put their heart and soul into this night.

They all made their nation proud, we did it!

John Toshack deserves credit, too. He gave debuts to quite a few of the current squad.

How ? When we have got to the Quarter Finals of both the World Cup and Euros in the past ? How are they not better than last night ?
