There be no tarten army going to france

They had a really tough group and they did ok but they had a few bad performances notabley against Georgia. They almost beat Poland but let in a last minute goal and they were banbking on Ireland losing to Germany.

I've been laying into them a bit as well since we qualified as get a lot of stick off them saying that we are a one man team etc.

For the sake of the tournament I'm glad.

Now Northern Ireland, us and England can enjoy the tournament without the petty, bitter rivalry.

And hopefully we don't sing that Viva Gareth Bale song too much!

We have a rivalry with England obviously. But I don't think it is anywhere close to the Scots.

Sorry - I would have liked Scotland to get through....... but on the other hand I was at Anfield when Joe Jordan cheated us out of a World Cup place many years ago!!

I prefer the jocks to them northern Irish pricks. Would have liked to see the sweaties qualify rather than the paddies.... Both sides.

I personally wish the Scots were going to France, they're a top laugh. Also growing up watching the City there has always been a rivalry between us and the english, I've never liked the bastards and that's not going to change come June 2016.

Fingers crossed the Rep of Ireland get through, they're also a great laugh to have a good drink with.

I'm chuffed to bits for you guys that you are going, been a long time coming.

As for us, we just weren't good enough. Too many point to the Georgia game away from home, for me it was losing to Germany then drawing with Poland in our home games. Matches at home are key to any campaign regardless of who you are up against and 1 point from 6 just doesn't cut it. Positives to take to the next campaign though.
