' COULD BURNLEY MAKE A SHOCK MOVE FOR CITY STAR? '

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/news/ :ayatollah:

Burnley are keeping tabs on Cardiff City's Icelandic international midfielder Aron Gunnarsson and may be ready to try and entice the versatile player to Turf Moor.

Sean Dyche is an admirer of Gunnarsson and according to reports he was interested earlier this year in taking the Iceland captain up North back in January.

Gunnarson, who signed for City for free from Coventry City in 2011, put pen to paper on a 2 year contract extension that extends his stay until 2018 but his lack of game time in the Welsh capital has alerted Burnley, and manager Dyche has had scouts watch Gunnarsson on International duty.

Russell Slade will want to keep Gunnarsson, who can play at various positions including right back, as his direct and immediate cover for Kagisho Dikgacoi who is enjoying a run of games in the City side.

Would you want to see City let Gunnarsson go or would you want to keep hold of him ?

NO for me Gunnarsson is a Valuable part of our Squad, but would not blame him if he left.

I don't dislike Gunnarson but I've never rated him to be honest. Our midfield could never play a passing game and was regularly overrun. I don't think it's a coincidence that we can pass a ball now and keep it. Dika and whitts can both keep it under pressure. Gunnarson was an ok player but I haven't seen him recover and play that we'll since returning from that bad injury a few years back.

@AnnisAbraham not that fussed. Great servant to the club but maybe he needs to move on.

He's a tidy player, but was dire in the Premiership. Looked totally lost!

Wouldn't be bothered. Used to rate him but don't think he's all that now.

My personal opinion is that players like Gunners, get you out of the Championship, he has leadership, desire, passion and is a good quality Championship player :thumbright: :ayatollah:

is it possible he could go on loan there now ?
id prefer a youngster like Wharton on Tommy Osullivan on the bench and getting experiance here and there like Gunners doing at moment

Could the club be testing the ground, trying to gauge the fans reaction to him leaving.

I genuinely believe away he could take to Mason role. Malky & Ole thought his most effective position was the tip of the diamond.

For me he can be sold.

Will play a part this season, we will need him no doubt. His best spell came after he was dropped my Malky at the start of the promotion season. When he got his shirt back, nobody was having it back off him. Not the best distribution but a warrior

We must keep him for the full season if we have aspirations for promotion.
It's still very early days and I can understand he's probably far from happy but he will be needed later on I'm sure.

Very good championship player, and if Slade doesn't play him I can see him wanting to go else where :ayatollah:

Agree with this, technically he's not the best but makes up for it with grit, determination and passion for the club.

If he wants to leave then let him but unless it's a big offer I think we should keep him, he will be needed at times this season

Early days in the Championship, injuries, suspensions, hectic schedule and dips in form so his chance will come again.
Keep him for me!

There is no way i'd allow him to Leave! Not technically great but he gives 100% week in week out when given the opportunity! Crucial City Player!
