Steve Cotterill’s Bristol City have announced the signing of Reading FC striker Simon Cox on loan until January, on their official website.
The forward has signed from Championship rivals Reading on an emergency loan deal until the 3rd of January.
Despite Bristol City currently sitting bottom of the Sky Bet Championship table, the club have only failed to score in two of their opening 10 games.
They have also only managed to keep one clean sheet as the Robins made their return to the Championship this campaign.
Simon Cox has been out of favour this season with Reading, who are flying high in third place so far this season.
The striker will be looking to lift the club and get them out of the relegation zone, and the 28-year-old comes with a bundle of experience, particularly in the Championship, having played for West Bromwich Albion, Nottingham Forest and Reading.
Cox, who has a real appetite for the game with tremendous work rate, has made more than 25 appearances for the Republic of Ireland – In that time he has scored four goals.
