Fleetwood Town are to appoint former Coventry City manager Steven Pressley as the club’s new manager, according to the Daily Mail.

Pressley is the new Fleetwood boss

Fleetwood are currently 23rd in Sky Bet League One, and are seriously struggling in the third tier of English football.

The club recently sacked Graham Alexander from his role as manager of the club, and they have since been searching for a new boss to take the reins at Highbury.

It now seems that Steven Pressley is going to be the man to replace Alexander at the Cod Army, and fans of the club will be hoping the 41-year-old can pull the side out of the dreaded relegation zone.

Pressley does have experience of managing in the Football League, having had a two year spell at Coventry City, however poor form led to him being sacked.

The manager has also managed Scottish sides Hearts and Falkirk, and the job at Fleetwood will be his fourth in his career.

Pressley certainly faces a tough task of keeping the club up, as the side have only won twice in their last ten league fixtures.
