Cardiff City Transfer News: 'Highly rated' Ghanaian winger Asiedu Attorbrah linked to Bluebirds move

5 OCT 2015

BY GARETH ROGERS

After it emerged the Bluebirds signed Idriss Saadi with a little help from their sister club, reports in Ghana claim it could be happening again

Asiedu Attorbrah Could be heading to Cardiff City?

Cardiff City have been linked to Ghanaian winger Asiedu Attorbrah, who is currently playing for sister club KV Kortrijk.

Reports in his native Ghana say the 20-year-old, who joined the Belgian club from New Edubiase last summer, is on the Bluebirds' radar.

The news comes in the wake of claims that the club's sporting manager Patrick Turcq helped the Bluebirds land French youngster Idriss Saadi.

Ghana Soccernet say: “This deal is the first sign of the intentions of club owner Vincent Tan to move talented players across his football portfolio.

“The Malaysian millionaire also hold majority shares in Bosnian champions FK Sarajevo.”

Asiedu Attobrah is a Ghana international who plays for Cardiff City's sister club KV Kortrijk.

His preferred position is on the right wing but he's both footed and equally comfortable on the left.

He was in the Ghana squad for the 2014 African Nations in South Africa, where he won four caps, and played in the U20 World Cup in New Zealand this summer.

Slade doesn't know how to handle talented players - hope he gets a chance here if he does move

Agree - but the statement I made was that Slade doesn't appear to like to work with Star players or players with a flair - look at the players he has released .

I'm sure it was purely 100% Slade's decision on the players we've released.

He didn't release or sell them the club did to come within the budget tan has set they even said they had to get 12million off in iterviews, tan calls the shots nobody else clearly this thread says it all with a player coming in from other of his clubs which I doubt very much slade has any say in :bluescarf:

The club sold the players - slade took the flak.

Id rather play Kennedy tbh.

Why take a risk on this guy when our best winger is not even being put in the squad.

these type of signings from our "feeder" clubs I did not see coming.

They are low risk and can easily be moved on if they don't work out.......it only takes one of them to be a little gem and we will all be laughing.........time will tell

He's only just signed for KV Kortrijk, never mind being linked to us. A move to us won't be happening any time soon, he'll have to get in the first team for Kortrijk and then earn a work permit. That's the agreement between KV and City

Kennedy he should at least be on the bench, i don't see why he cant be an impact player. He offers something different.
