Terry Phillips: Simon Moore continued to deputise in goal for the suspended David Marshall, what is your verdict on his performance?





Russell Slade: I am really pleased for him. I said before Simon went into the team that he is in a very good place. Marge (Martyn Margetson) has been really pleased with him in training

Simon is right on top of his game and that’s what you want from anybody who is not in team for any length of time.

You look for a big reaction and we have had that from Simon. He was excellent.


David is available for the next game and Simon has made it a much tougher choice.

Simon has had five appearances now and he is making it more difficult by improving as a goalkeeper.

Simon will improve with games. There is no doubt about that and we are seeing that right now. That’s great news for us. We have a strong bench and need to be pushing each other.
