' YOU CAN’T GIVE THE BALL AWAY AND EXPECT TO WIN '
By Chris Wathan
Cardiff have been far better on the ball this term so it was both a little bit of a surprise and a large frustration that they were so cheap in handing possession to a Brighton side who needed no second invitation.
Kagisho Dikgacoi was unusually sloppy in large periods as was Anthony Pilkington – later discovered to have been carrying an injury.
After a very good first 15 minutes, it gave Brighton the momentum they needed to recover from their first setback of the season.
Cardiff never really found their footing after that and the more they tried, the quicker they were turned over. As much as there were initial attempts to press hard to win possession back, the home dominance meant they tired quicker and had to hope for the luck to fall their way.
