' DISCIPLINE DANGERS '

By Chris Wathan

Fabio could – and probably should – have seen red for a blatant body check on Solly March having already been on a booking. When he escaped with a stern and lengthy warning, every challenge was then a potential red or an easy route on goal for Brighton.

Scott Malone was on a similar tightrope for a similarly cheap foul in the first-half. Sammy Ameobi had done well to track back and pin March in on the byline but then dived in when he didn’t need to and gave away a dangerous free-kick and Lee Peltier got caught up in calls for a red when he tussled with the lively March.

Fabio has picked up a number of cautions this season
All daft, all needless and all that could have proven costly. Cardiff need to keep cool heads in such tight contests. And given Fabio now misses a game after his fifth booking, it’s not a new issue.

Not surprising really when he's always been considered a midfield "enforcer" :laughing6:
