A lot has been said about the lack of spending at City over the summer and how fans wanted, and still want, to see us spend money on a new striker and midfielder.
Vincent Tan has spent money and lots of it previously trying to make the club competitive and probably feels it has been a costly exercise in more ways than the obvious.
With the squad of players still available at the club, I think it has been a sensible approach so far and as fans of other clubs recognise and the media too, Cardiff City still have a lot of quality in the squad for this division.
If City are in the Top 6 around December and January then I believe Vincent Tan will give Russell Slade financial backing to strengthen our claim for promotion.
It is hard to disagree with the philosophy that there is good enough players to compete and no need to splash the money around like previous seasons.

He addressed the shirt issue and he has reduced costs whilst the team has become more competitive. Hopefully in January if we are still in top 6 he can release the purse strings a bit and allow Slade some money to bring in 1 or 2 players that can enhance the squad.
