8 Premier Strikers for the transfer committee to ponder over

Tokelo Rantie, Bournmouth

The South African speedster impressed in a pre-season friendly against the Bluebirds and has already linked to loan moves to Cardiff and Reading.

He has hardly figured for the Cherries in the Premier League and would seem like a good option if Slade did want to add pace to his frontline.

Joel Campbell, Arsenal

Gunners fans can't understand why the Costa Rican speedster is being frozen out at the Emirates.

But the opportunity is there for an ambitious club to tempt him with some regular first team football. It would be an audacious bid but it could just pay off.

Marouane Chamakh, Crystal Palace

The former Arsenal man is on his way back from an injury and has fallen down the pecking order at high flying Palace.

If he was keen to get some first team football under his belt before competing with the likes of Bakary Sako, Dwight Gayle, Connor Wickham, Fraizer Campbell and Patrick Bamford, a spell on loan could do him good.

James Wilson, Manchester United

Half the Championship is chasing him and Kenny Jackett revealed Wolves' loan bid was knocked back two weeks ago.

But, as Russell Slade has already admitted his interest, there's no harm in Cardiff going in with a fresh bid if they fancied.

Peter Odemwingie, Stoke

While it's hard to imagine Odemwingie and Kenwyne Jones up front for Cardiff, the Nigerian goal-getter might feel like he's got unfinished business at Cardiff.

And he could fancy a move away if Mark Hughes continues to freeze him out at the Britannia Stadium.

Victor Anichebe, West Brom

The former Everton striker has struggled for games at the Hawthorns this season, and was even played in central midfield by Tony Pulis in the League Cup last week.

Another speedster who needs a run of games up front, Anichebe would seem like a decent option for the Bluebirds.

Nikica Jelavic, West Ham

The Croatian striker, who has been a goal-getter all his career, joined the Hammers on deadline day at the start of this month.

But the form of his fellow strikers has seen Jelavic fall out of favour and he's only seen 20 minutes of action since leaving Hull. He might just want to prove something to his boss and fellow countryman Slaven Bilic.

Tammy Abraham, Chelsea

The 17-year-old hotshot has scored bucket loads of goals in Chelsea's development team and could benefit from a spell in the Championship.

He's a centre forward, who can play off either foot and has already scored four goals in five games so far this season. Cardiff fans would be very excited if he made a move to South Wales.
