Mon Sep 28, 2015 6:32 pm
Yes because of what other things he has done for our club and I agree with what Blake said move on and build a new relationship with Tan for the future.
Mon Sep 28, 2015 6:43 pm
Sure why not, he is keeping us afloat. If a clap is what it makes him feel wanted then I can manage that.

Yes. I applauded him when he was over last season, wearing a blue shirt. The re-brand has been reversed, it's time to move on.
Mon Sep 28, 2015 7:58 pm
I couldn't clap him, that's just my opinion on it. He's a f*cking tw*t end of.

Kept it short and sweet because over the last 3 years it's been draining. Am all for moving on that doesn't mean I would clap

I didn't clap him last time and I won't clap him next or any other time.
I will never forgive and forget.
Mon Sep 28, 2015 9:56 pm
Time to move on, surely.

Cardiff city football club at this present moment will never gain anything by morons still sticking two fingers up to tan.
If tan is loved he will invest more imo which will make us more competative in the future so its a no brainer for me clap and applaud the man keeping the club affloat and the man pulling the strings and pulling the purse strings ofcourse.
Mon Sep 28, 2015 10:47 pm
I want him to stay.
Rationale simply is that he the sole funder of this club and doesn't need VC or multi-owners to fund us.
As important, I believe that he has learnt his 'football business lesson' from us and knows that we are are fanatics (fans), not 'retail customers') and if done right, the top flight can be done properly whilst looking after your 'hard-core'. That said, it will take years to forgive him but as a mid '70's supporter, I've seen it all and there is a way forward based on mutual respect. And you have to earn it, it can't be bought.
He is also open to other 'football business' lessons like reassembling our current shambles of an Academy not producing anything as an ultimate result of employing many people in power who have done badges but are part-time happy wearing a CCFC tracksuit and are incompetent. The grains of gold at City's coaching structure are well known football-people and now need to be recognised as the vital important links in this clubs pyramid to make us shine. Anyone in the system will know who these guys are.
It's all there. It just needs to be recognised, reorganised and managed properly.
We've all made mistakes. But if you learn from it, it's not a mistake. It's a hard lesson - the best lesson learned.
See you at Brighton.

Never applaud him, I'd be ambivelent towards him
Mon Sep 28, 2015 10:54 pm
I wouldn't applaud him, I wouldn't shake his hand unless he gave a full apology about The way he's spoken about us.
He's realised his wrongs in regards to the rebrand and credit to him, but he talked about us and this club like we were peaces of shit and I haven't forgotten

Wouldn't even acknowledge him. I can't stand this attention seeking he craves so much.

I think we, as supporters, have a huge opportunity here. We have a Multi Billionaire Philanthropist who is known to throw his money about like there is no tomorrow - if it pleases him.
Various Google searches will show that he has donated sums in excess of £100m to charitable causes
The rebrand was a mistake. It upset a lot of people but I would prefer to take the view that VT was badly advised. When it comes to British Football and local customs here in Wales - He is a Novice. He made a mistake. He corrected that mistake.
Now I have seen first hand the changes that have taken place at Man City. World Class Stadium. Fan Experience before each game. World Class Players. 50,000 crowds every game. Superb Reserve Ground. Top 4 football year in year out. European Football. If we allowed him to VT could deliver that. He certainly has the funds to do it - if he wanted to.
I think we need to make him want to.
In my lifetime I do not envisage our club being owned by anyone who closely has the funds that VT has. Yes he is eccentric but yes he could deliver what many of us want. And what does he want in return - to be appreciated. That, for me, is not much.
VT could leave and purchase any football club in the UK. How would we feel if he bought Swansea and turned them into the Welsh Man City. I personally would be gutted.
We have all made mistakes in our respective lives. Most of us have learned from them and grown up. VT was a novice when he made the unfortunate decision. He was given bad advice. Let him make amends and I think, in years to come, we will have the sort of club that we all dream of.

I just think life is too short to not let it go. What's the point? The only losers in the end and people who will suffer is us fans. Tan has done damage and has rectified his mistakes (ok it maybe not be for the love of the fans) but that's probably the best that we may get so take it or leave it and be unhappy u til he goes. We are back in blue and 5 th in the table. I feel happier now than I have done for a while watching them (partly due to the back to blue and partly because of the football). Being a city fan will bring its ups and downs throughout someone's life time but just for the sake of 2-3 years - I am
Not going to bear a grudge or make myself unhappy about it. Just look to the future - cos I tell u what a lot worse could happen!
