Terry Phillips asks Russell Slade about Simon Moore :ayatollah:

Terry: How did you rate goalkeeper Simon Moore’s display against Charlton, after he was called in due to David Marshall’s suspension?

RS: He didn’t have an awful lot to do, but made one very good save which was important. That save down low was a good save. Goalkeepers have to concentrate all the time.

Sometimes you can lose that little bit of focus in goal when you are not involved in the game for spells. Simon was bang on for us in that respect.

Goalkeeper Simon Moore will take over from the suspended David Marshall

Terry: Cardiff play your former club Brighton away next and they are top of the Championship. Is that an emotional return for you? (Slade was Seagulls’ manager from March 2009 to November, 2009)

RS: Brighton have had a remarkable start, fantastic, to the season. But it’s good to be going there on the back of our win against Charlton.

The fans were always very good when I was there. They seemed virtually down when I was appointed manager, but in the last seven matches we won five, drew one and lost one to stay up.

I don’t think the Brighton fans will have forgotten that. There will be a few who remember it.
