The common line of thought for teams looking to succeed is the need to have a 20+ striker up top. The except to that rule was when we stormed the championship three years ago, with our main striker scoring 11, but with a lot of goals being chipped in all over the team.
Doing some simple maths Joe Mason has 4 from 8 games now if that were replicated across the season that could bag him 23 goals. So I pose the question is Joe our 20+ goal striker!

If stats were that easy to go by then yes, obviously. But watching Mason I don't feel he will get any more than 15 (still a good return if Kenwynne can back him up with 10-15 goals)
We also have Morrison who scores a lot of goals for a centre back.

He hasn't scored a single goal that anyone else in the team couldn't have scored. Offers us nothing special, in my opinion.

He won't score 20 goals this season

He has missed several sitters in home games. Lacks pace. Don't think he will get 20 goals but is a good squad player. We haven't had a prolific goal scorer since Dave Jones was manager.

There's no way you can say that. His striker's instinct might have got him in the right spot someone else wouldn't have.

Watching him play, I honestly don't think he even has a strikers instinct.

He is not even a striker, even Slade calls him a 10, a withdrawn forward.
I believe that Doyle is more of a striker than Mason

Agree with this, he gets into the right positions. Unfortunately he's missed a few That he should have tucked away but if hes keeping a 1 in 2 record then so what...
