The opening poster is probably saying not to far away - as the game is on Saturday.

Now now, please stop with the excuses. We haven't played each other on a Saturday since Withdean but can guarantee we'll bring at least 2,000 (3,000 if we're still top) to Cardiff this season due to it being on the Saturday.

The only thing I'm scared of when I visit Brighton is the leather clad men with handlebar mustaches and fat dykes that have ventured too far from the gay bars. Or fat dykes in the stadium in your case! Gives me shudders down my spine!

I agree with you that our support has been dreadful at Ninian Park but that's because scarfers let alone lads feared attending and I'll illustrate one time at Ninian when I drank with SBF1 and Mozzer and co in some pub where you all drink, great time and great blokes, half time I left and got lost, saw a group of Cardiff lads and asked for directions to the station, they knew who I was and they're were top notch, told me and of I went.

On arriving home I checked our forum and one of our scarfers was alone and got battered by Cardiff fans, I mean, what the f**k was that about, I left on my own and no trouble and yet a scarfer on his own got a beating. Thought we had a rule regarding scarfers?, we do this end but seems you and Millwall have different rules.

So that's why we bring very little but as things have changed and the troubles are over then hope we'll bring a good crowd. Back in the days of Ninian then no way would I have stood eating (tim's burger bar) and chatting with Cardiff fans in sloper road after a match. Getting a lift back into the city centre I mentioned how times have changed for the better and made feel welcome by all and felt happy as punch.

Ninian and your new ground are miles apart and glad that the dark days are over where we can all mix and drink now and chat in a nice atmosphere.

Everything you say there is true, including sadly the battering of a scarfer, which I might add was done by none of any of the lads,it was well out of order.
I still miss Ninian Park.

I'd like to say 'Had' because my post sounds like you have still which isn't true. I know you'll be there Blue, you'd track across the north pole to watch City play. I haven't any beef with any City fan (you tolerate me on here  ) and enjoy meeting for beers.

Wish you and daughter if you still take her a save journey and enjoy your time while at the ground. I'll be in Cardiff again for the reverse fixture but will hold fire on pre booking a hotel as say we're top two when we meet then sky could move it as they don't consider fans financial burden.

Annis .
It was hardly a battering.

It happened about 20 yards away from me.
It stood out because only twice have I seen innocent fans attacked and the other was away in a pub 25 years ago.

A bloke, about 6 ft 2 with long blond hair with a Brighton shirt on was walking amongst the City fans away from the stadium and 3 kids of maybe 14-16 years old ran up behind him and one, maybe 2 hit him. It was over in seconds.
Then they ran off with an old granny in one of the gardens shouting abuse at them.

He had a bloody nose, the kid must have had to jump to reach it, but seemed OK, a bit shaken , other City fans checked he was OK and he got up and walked off.

Not nice for him, and cowardly by those kids, but not really a battering.

Not condoning it, but when I saw him I was worried as he stood out like a sore thumb and the season before ( I think) there had been riots on Sloper road when we played them.
I had to cut through people's gardens to get my 2 girls out of the way.

Pretty fair account.....I actually got between and helped the guy up. He was checked over by ambulance crew but wandered off.

Pissed me off at the time and took it up with Sam H. Remember conversations with Annis about it too at the time.

Well out of order but only 3/4 teenagers.

I remember it well and saw you and thanks to fans like your self they never got hurt that badly,I also rem talking to you after and we were ashamed of what had just happened. No need at all.

Is it possible Brighton is on about a different event.

I remember Brighton scarfers getting chased from the bridge by Ninian Station all the way back up sloper road and then getting set upon when caught.

Must have been about 98-99 possibly earlier.

Now now, please stop with the excuses. We haven't played each other on a Saturday since Withdean but can guarantee we'll bring at least 2,000 (3,000 if we're still top) to Cardiff this season due to it being on the Saturday.

Your support up your areas is top,but you never come to Cardiff, always been badly supported when you've come to us,a mystery?

I will be at Brighton this season as usual and at the home game :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Tim, I ran down to see what had happened,No I never saw all of it,but maybe not a battering, but they were a family etc, totally innocent and for them it must of felt like a battering.

It wasn't a family.
The guy was totally on his own.

He stood out a mile.

The only thing I'm scared of when I visit Brighton is the leather clad men with handlebar mustaches and fat dykes that have ventured too far from the gay bars. Or fat dykes in the stadium in your case! Gives me shudders down my spine!

We're scared so we've changed to ladies, you wouldn't hit a lady would you?

I wouldn't want to discriminate mate, knowing the ladies in Brighton there wouldn't be a lot of difference lol
