The Leeds manager will last longer than Slade?

Re: Santa Ponsa Blue still think that?

Mon Sep 28, 2015 5:53 pm

I'm going to be straight with you, I rate him he's a good manager he's also a good friend of mine and my dad. The diference is he's not a Yes man like Slade is therefore he stands up for himself if things aren't working out & who knows if he's given time I believe he will succeed...

They were very unlucky yesterday. Their goal early in the second half should have stood.

Didn't think much to either side, Middlesbrough only won because of defensive mistakes.

Agree Ned, they were also playing one of the best sides in the division, and had a few decision that went against them.

Very well put, I think that of all the managers Leeds have had, he is the most likely to succeed, sort of hope he doesn't though but only because it will mean Leeds are doing well :thumbright:

Neil, I will answer it, it will prob be Rossler as Leeds want Success ASAP and Tan just wants like Mason says a yes man and he's got one.

I like rossler, but the board wont have patience and he will be gone by bonfire night of things don't inprove.

He has similarities to Slade in that he has never won promotion and has very little experience at the level he is currently managing at.

Rosler has lasted longer than I expected but Cellino's finger will always be close to the trigger.

Ironically, Rosler was among my 'preferred' choices to take over from Ole (like many others, Pulis was my top choice ;) ) and it would be interesting to see what the situation would be if they swapped clubs!

In fairness to Russell Slade, he hasn't exactly 'failed' to date, so I think he deserves fans backing in the knowledge that he is working with on hand tied behind his back!

Agreed. I actually think we're progressing at the moment.

Why is Slade a yes man? Slade spoke out about the red kit when neither Ole nor Malky did. And if the story of Tan signing Velukonja is true then Malky, who is in high regard round these parts was the biggest yea man of all lying about the fact he has been trying to sign him at Watford....

Slades 100% a yes man.

As to Malky signing Velukonja, it was Tans signing 100% and Tan insisted on him being signed,so if you look at the stats you will find Malky refused to start him in any competive match other than a game which meant nothing.
I can assure you now Malky was def not a yes nan, that's why Tan and Malky never really got on.

Ok I will answer your question, I stick by my decision I believe Rosler will last longer than Slade, Rosler is a better manager and not a Yes man - I'm not a fan of Slade but hope he proves me Wrong.

What do you base the thought he is a better manager? He has a similar record albeit with less experience. It could be argued he's not as good as Ole as Ole took over Rosler's Molde side and turned them into champions.

Because of his hunger and passion, I know him very well as a person and know how passionate he is. Also, Adeyemi who's played under both managers has admitted that he's much more comfortable playing under Rosler and much prefers his style of football. If Rosler is given time at Leeds he will 100% succeed. Like I've said previously I have no faith and I'm not a fan of Slade but really do hope he proves me wrong, But I will support him as he's the manager of the club I love and support :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

How the f..k does being a yes man or not have any bearing on someones ability as a manager
and how does being passionate have any thing to do with someones ability as a manager
and why does being a friend of santa ponsa blue have any bearing on someones ability to manage a football team :sladein: :bluebird: :bluescarf:

I'm not sure. Back of a fag packet.

Malky was loved cos he pumped his fists though.

Does that mean if slade takes us up on a much, much smaller budget, he'll be the best manager in our history?

Not a dig Annis but Malky was loved due to his passion. There's a difference between being passionate and being a good manager. Malky had a huge budget and I'll always be grateful for him getting us up to the Premiership but the fact is we stumbled over the line meaning no momentum for the following season and he overspent on an unbalanced squad including a striker for the future and then caused our club embarrassment (as did Tan) with text gate.

Truth is slade will never be good enough regardless of what he achieves, a few on here are so bitter towards tan that they will always dislike slade.
