Will judge him after 8/10/12 weeks is this stupid?

Those who have been saying I will judge slade after ex amount of games IMO are a bit stupid

It's clear (to me at least) that slades job is to cut costs drastically (so far done a great job) and keep us in the championship as a minimum requirement.
Anything more would be a bonus
How ever the way he has now got us playing and the results he has got us I believe top 6 is very much achievable
So back to those 8/10/12 game watchers
What will change in the next 1/3 games to get you to Make your minds up
Even if we win our next 1/3 games there would be no guarantee that we would not lose our next 2/4/6/8 games then where would you be
From day one of this season (and last season ) I have backed our manager to do the job he has been given ,
I prefer to look at the games one at a time ,and as Long as I see the players picked are putting in a shift I'm happy .
So far I've seen enough improvement in the play to say it's time we all got together and voiced our support for slade at least until the new year ,I for one would be happy to re assess in January

I wasn't a fan of his but the way we have started the season and managed to cut costs Slade deserves a lot of credit. I've seen us live twice plus twice live on the TV as well as highlights. We are playing far more possession football as the stats show. My one concern is a lack of pace in the team. With exception of Noone, Ameobi and Fabio we lack the pace to counter attack quickly. I really thought we'd struggle this season. I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Next stop Brighton and their unbeaten record.

I think Slade will keep us in the top six or possibly top 2 so Slade deserves full backing all season and proving people wrong so far.

First of all why does RUSSELL SLADE Say he does not look at League tables till 12 games in.

Plus,why should us fans not what to put our opinion on a player or manager after say 10 or 12 games, surely at some stage we should judge them,should we not?

You've slightly missed the point I'm making
If you put a game time on deciding when to support your manager ,let's say after 10/12 games and you end up giving him your support ,what you going to do if the next say 6 games are losses
Football is so different to other sports today due to the money
And when slade says he doesn't look at league tables until after 12 games ,I don't think he's asking us to judge himself personally then . He's just saying that's when he assesses where we are

The club have been saying the aim is top 6. So anything else is a failure.

I think it takes 12 to 15 games before the league starts to take some sort of shape, and gives us an indication of who the likely promotion candidates are, and who are likely to be in the battle to avoid relegation. You can still get a team towards the top who will suddenly plummet downwards and vice versa, but you tend to get a clearer picture after around 15 games. For me, it's not so much judging Slade, more like getting an idea of whether or not we are seeing genuine progress at the club.

The club have been saying the aim is top 6. So anything else is a failure.

Think the club have to say that ,but have only debt reduction and championship survival for next 2 seasons as real targets my opinion only
