' THE GOOD AND THE BAD WAS STILL PLEASING '

Today was the best City performance of the season in my opinion.

Attacking wise, we got forward and created plenty of chances.

Morrison could have had a hat trick on another day, at set pieces he was having a field day in the Charlton penalty box.

Fabio and Malone were playing as wing backs in the 4-4-2 and that helped us push the whole team forward and kept us on the front foot and dominated large periods of the game.

I thought both penalty shouts were both wrong decisions by the ref, Mason had pushed the ball past the Charlton Keeper and was going around him when the keeper put his body across Masons legs, the second appeal for the handball was so blatant I cannot believe the ref or the linesman didn't see it.

An area for concern and something that needs tweaking and working on is our defensive play, up until the Hull game we looked solid at the back and difficult to break down but since that game we have become a little too open and mistakes are creeping into our game which have been punished in the last three matches.

With the full backs bombing on, we are leaving ourselves susceptible to counter attacks and a better side may have taken advantage of that today.

But the fact is we won the game today, thoroughly deserved our victory and ended a blip of results that Russell Slade needed to end this afternoon, thankfully we got the win but to do it in such a positive fashion was pleasing indeed.

Agree with most but defensively we are solid, sides will create some chances and you will have games where a few mistakes are
Made, were also taking more risks going forward which will allow the opposition some chances

Agree sides will create, but don't agree we are solid, especially in last 3 matches.

We have definitely gone for a more offensive approach, which is what we want to see and hopefully it will continue, but we are leaving ourselves a little more exposed than we have done previously, of course it is a fine line but hopefully Slade can tighten things at the back and keep us creating chances.

It was an excellent performance by the side coming back from a goal down.

There does seem to be some panic in defence at times and yes it needs addressing.

If I have a personal bone to pick it would our inability to convert the chances which are being created and some of our crossing was utter shite.

But a number of players did themselves huge favours today including Simon Moore Anthony Pilkington and Fabio who were outstanding.

Fair play to the team for having the balls to recover from a goal down. Showed guts. Fabio was quality. Still not convinced about morrisons defending but he's a definite threat from set pieces.

My youngest enjoyed his visit to ccs and has already asked to go back!
