' Slade on... His team selections '

25/09/2015

BY GARETH ROGERS

Jones and Pilkington?

I’ve had thoughts. The two have been a big part of what we’ve done but it’s important to look where players are physically and mentally and if need a rest we will do that, it’s about the squad and the group as much as the XI.

Manga not starting?

Two clean sheets before the last two defeats, Bruno’s had to be patient and wait for his opportunity. He’s been plagued by a couple of injuries that have not helped his cause. He’s getting there slowly but surely.

He was a little bit rusty when he came on against Hull, which was inevitable.

He has to wait for the opportunity and be ready to take it when he gets it.

Slade on... Two defeats on the bounce

We need to get some momentum back.

I like to think it’s a bit of a blip, I think what we can say in the two games is the attitude and the commitment to the cause against Hull was was very good, a decent performance without getting a result.

At Rotherham, never an easy place to go let alone with 10 men for 55 mins, we looked solid and it was heartbreaking seeing that ball trickle over the line because the players deserved something out of the game after a massive effort.

We wanted three points, circumstances change and we battled to bring something home with us and we came within seconds of achieving that. You can see visually at the end how much they put into it.

Hmm. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

He needs to be a lot more ambitious IMHO.

slade is a league one manager at best, he's out of his depth at this level he always bigs up the opposition like we've just been promoted to this division,he's not adventurous with his team selection always sets up not to lose and hopes to nick the odd goal. I'd love nothing more than him to prove me wrong but really can't see it
