We are going to be part of this campaign at Brighton on the 3rd of October....the campaign is to set a maximum price of £20 for away fans at grounds throughout the leagues.Ironically we will be charged £30 at Brighton.

Best of luck, money has ruined football. Shame it's allowed to be commercialised so much.

Fair play corky, you do a lot of work for football fans alike. Hats off to you sir and again good luck. :thumbright:

I really like this idea! At most stadiums it seems away fans are put in the worst area of the stadium, yet get charged more!

I just hope the clubs don't start putting home prices up drastically to counterbalance the drop in away prices

Corky.

This , like so much of the stuff done by the FSF , is an excellent campaign.

Why don`t you try and have a word with Brian Mertens in the Trust office (I am usually there as well to "prompt" him) as he is the liaison between CCST and the other football Trusts in SD and could get a note out to all the other Trusts to give their support on this. I know that we did as CCST in our submissions to the authorities as part of the overall review of corporate governance in football.

As the FAW would say , "together stronger"

Keith

The price of match day tickets need looking at, the FA want to see full stadiums and atmospheres at grounds and with the amount of money in football through TV deals then I see no reason why clubs, especially in the higher leagues, need to be charging the higher prices that some currently do.

Swansea cap their away ticket at £22, not quite what's been called for but a realistic price all the same. Swans Trust led too

To be fair, I was well impressed by this gesture because it targets stalwart fans who spend a lot of time and money following their team. There's no such thing as a plastic away fan in my eyes.

I'm a big fan of the German model, which has capped ticket prices for lower than ours and each club has a substantial fan inclusion on the board.

Common sense says Tan should drop prices and fill the stadium rather than scowl at the faithful crowds that actually turn up.
