Norwich do have consistently high attendances for the size of their ground but , if you have ever been there , there is little or no competition from other sports and Ipswich (quite a small town) is the only football completion for many a mile.

Portsmouth is not a big town, its population is only about 1/3rd of that of Cardiff. What gives them loyal support is the way their fanbase came to their rescue when they went bust (twice) and eventually brought the club out of Administration. So the fans feel a close connection with the club and very much part of it.

Bradford is quite a big place , about twice the population of Cardiff. What gives them big attendances at their level , despite strong local competition from the likes of Leeds ,is very low season ticket prices and again a strong sense of belonging and sticking together that followed the tragic events of the fire at their ground.

Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday are hardly "plastic" fans. When they were below Championship level they had higher crowds than we did at the same level. Yes , their attendances went up a lot when they were in the Premier League , but so did most clubs with the ground capacity to do so like us.

p.s it is "their"crowds , "they`re" in ,and the Premier League. "There" is a place or position , and the Premiership is a rugby competition. :thumbright:

Jesus Christ, are you serious? We've got the most miserable bunch of fans in Britain. The only fans that are more deluded than us are Newcastle.

Fans staying away because we have Russell Slade, many believe we should have the likes of Jurgan Klopp or Carlo Ancelotti in charge of the mighty Cardiff City.

Bradford has about at least another 15 clubs to contend with in 30 miles radius, plus Bradford is massive for Rugby League
Leeds away is in the top 5 in the Uk
