US troops ordered to ignore child rape by Afghan officers

Sorry to keep putting stories about the Middle East on here, but this caught my attention:

American troops in Afghanistan were routinely told to ignore sexual abuse of boys by Afghan officers because it was deemed to be a cultural custom.

One American officer was relieved of his command after he intervened to prevent a Afghan police commander allegedly chaining a young boy to his bed and using him as a sex slave.

Captain Dan Quinn, a green beret serving in Kunduz province, summoned the officer and demanded an explanation. When the police commander laughed it off, Captain Quinn threw him onto the ground. He was suspended and sent back to the US. He has now left the military.

Several cases have emerged of US soldiers and Marines struggling with orders to respect Afghan cultural traditions, according to The New York Times.

And then in the comment section someone has said :

Read about that and made me feel sick. The reason they were told to turn a blind eye was the same reason 1,500 white girls were raped in Rotherham and is happening across Europe now. I'd shoot every single one if I heard what the soldiers heard.

This. f**k local culture. Afghanistan are part of the UN and should abide by international law. Especially concerning human rights. Absolutely disgusting.

Afghanistan does not want to be invaded or controlled by someone else. History has proved they have repelled every attempt ever made. Leave them the Fook alone. Russia invades and America train arm and help the Taliban repell the Russians. Then the Taliban turn on America and then they invade Afghanistan it's a joke.
