Please don't bring back the DRUMS

Tue Sep 22, 2015 7:55 am

They weren't liked last time we had them.

If this is what people think will improve the atmosphere then they are wrong, it works at other grounds because they have had them for years.

What we need is exciting football, better quality of refreshments and better pre match and half time entertainment, then the fans will come back.

Describe better entertainment and refreshments.

What do you think would enhance the atmosphere by improving the above?

I liked the drums, but I thought they were wrongly positioned up and at the back of the Canton, in the gantry. Would be better down the front, or front corners of the Canton. :D

I don't think that drums will receive support from most. I would not be happy with one of those annoying things near me. Could cause a lot of unrest and arguments. This could put people off coming. Sorry for being a miserable g*t but I hate then.

Please bring back the drums!

I've never been keen on the drums either - it makes the stadium feel more like your at a musical gig (which is fine but not in the footy context). Many stadiums have a fab atmosphere but no drums needed. I do agree that it sometimes gets the crowd going and if it's got to be then I'll support it and chant but just never been that keen. There's nothing better in my opinion than a crowd shouting at the top of thier voices! I find it frustrating where I sit (grandstand) as so many people do t sing and there has been times hen I've wanted to join in with the canton but it would be almost embarrising if I started on my own - maybe that's the problem? If everyone (most people) joined in we would have an atmosphere. Not just the canton stand singing their hearts out.

Don't bring back drums, don't play goal music, Ffs Cardiff Fans have got to be the most miserable bunch of cunts ever. No wonder our stadium is like a morgue.

The more ideas we get to improve it the better because I've never seen it so dead in all the years I've followed Cardiff.

I'm not saying don't bring them back, I'm all for getting the stadium rocking again and if drums are the thing that start I then So be it - in my opinion the drums will help but personally I'm not keen on them. Maybe if we just had one drum it wud be better rather than lots of drums?

Anyone who thinks a person playing a drum is going to have people flocking back to the CCS is deluded. You can stick a disc in your CD player if you really want to hear someone playing a drum. A successful team playing an exciting brand of football is what is needed, no need for gimmicks.

Drums sound pretty good and do kinda 'drum up' the atmosphere in a packed stadium... I think that before we look at bringing in drums though, we need to get the results on the pitch. I don't think it matters where in the canton the drums go!

In the Premiership, we were packed out every single week and the atmosphere was electric the majority of the time. If the drums were brought in then, it would have sounds immense but nobody wanted them. It will look and sound stupid if there are only 13,000 fans at the stadium - including less than a half full family stand.

Surely the atmosphere isn't the reason for so many turning their backs on the club. At the end of the day, we are back in blue and Tan hasn't said or done anything stupid since. We've kept Marshall, Manga & the majority of our better players and have added to that strength. 13,000 is plain pathetic

I think the reason is because of the poor football we played last season under Slade , I work with loads of people who stopped going because of this , they said they couldn't justify spending all their money on a season ticket to watch us play boring footall under a shit manager. It's only me and 2 others who still go now
